  I found my wifes new blood card

  i would like to say i am not in and my wife is a marginal witness at best.

  she doesn't say anything bad about the borg or live an amoral lifestyle.

  she just doesn't read the bible, or even the tracts anymore and generally has no clue about anything biblical or doctorial related.. i found my wives new card yesterday.

  What kind of cheese do you like?

  i went to www.sensibus.com and they have 160 different kinds of cheese.

  i just do not know which cheese i want to order.

  What steps did you take to free yourself from the cult? mentally or physically?

  first i ignored all of the elders phone calls to send my recommendation letter to my new congregation, truth is i had already started my fade and moved across town and didn't have a new congregation.

  i deleted all jw friends on facebook.

  i also threw away all of my public talks recorded on cd, all literature, even my book bag and my bible.

  Like Flipper has posted, you need to fill the void.

  As a JW your life revolved around meetings, field service, personal study etc. That amounted to a good few hours each week.

  What I did to fill the void was pursue interests. In my case I studied higher education and obtained Chartered membership of my profession. I also enjoy music and play guitar, and enjoy local sightseeing. After work, weather permitting, my wife and I go for walks to keep fit and usually stop off for a coffee at a local cafe on the way back.

  PS: I meant to add that this court case occurred about 18 years ago. Back then Judge Judy was quite restrained. I've seen videos of her recent court cases and, oh boy, she is a pit bull and would read the 'riot act' without hesitation to those appearing before her ... LOL.

  Which Org 'directives' did you blatantly ignore

  i remember that we were always encouraged to let everyone at work know that you were one of jw's and therefore would not participate in any of their functions, parties etc.. this i outrightly refused to do.

  my reasoning was that i was employed and paid to do a job and therefore my religious beliefs were a personal matter and therefore had nothing to do with my work.

  secondly i had to work with these people.

  This I outrightly refused to do. My reasoning was that I was employed and paid to do a job and therefore my religious beliefs were a personal matter and therefore had nothing to do with my work. Secondly I had to work with these people. If someone had a birthday, I wished the person a happy birthday and accepted a slice cake offered.

  On occasions, I asked my colleagues for advice or assistance with a particular work issue, which they gladly helped me out. If I had snubbed them and threw their generosity back in their face, would they be inclined to help me? I think not!

  Anionted mom says Jehovah may ask her to kill all her family!!

  yes my holy anionted mom who has cancer is concerned that the loving god jehovah may ask her in heaven to destroy here non believer family including her 5 year old grandchild during armagedon....how messed up are these crazy people!!?

  Sorry to read that your mom has cancer.

  I think it is sad that she is thinking this way. She definitely needs all the support she can get in order to help rid her of these negative thoughts.

  Elder asking for help

  First of all, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately we have all been hoodwinked, deceived and fed blatant lies. I'm still in the process of fading, been inactive for going on 3 years. You know your wife better than anyone else, so best to take things slow, leaving seeds for thought which hopefully will help your wife.

  There are many other forum users who will come along and be in a better position to offer advice.

  Looking forward to reading your future posts.
