As a Christian who takes this view ( as l have said l , like Sea Breeze , do not see this as a salvation issue - it's a personal choice ) l would say that l agree with that statement.

On another thread l recommended the writings of John Polkinghorne and Hugh Ross on this subject . Both are or were ( Polkinghorne died recently) prominent scientists in their disciplines who are Christians.

They bring together faith and science in their writing .

Has any one of your JW family gotten a call from elders about vaccinations?

one of my jw uncles got a call last night and was asked how many in his extended family have not taken the vaccine and he needed names.. a letter was sent to elders but it is dated the 27 which was yesterday, so i'm not sure it has anything to do with the letter.

but my uncle said the elder was coming down hard on him for not knowing who hasn't taken the vaccine.

he implied that not taking the vaccine "could" warrant judicial action.

Any signs that Kingdom Halls will re-open soon or door to door work will re-start again?

i've not heard anything from pimi wife about going back to the khs yet let alone the door to door work.. many churches round here have re-opened if only for private pray and i am guessing that things like singing may be a factor in the reluctance of the witnesses to get back together again.

i also detect that many older ones are still quite afraid to go anywhere they may come in contact with people, even for shopping.

on the other hand, here in uk you can now go to a football match with 70,000 others shouting and chanting.. the door to door work may a total different issue.

Well that is a big difference. All Christians that l know have been jabbed so are less nervous about , sensibly , meeting together .

It is mind blowing to me that they get away with this level of control , but then they stop people from having transfusions.

However l can , sort of , see that they at least used some odd twisting of the Bible to back up the non transfusion stance . Which as far as l know no other religion agrees with .

I can't for the life of me think how they can give any Biblical backing for an anti vaxx stance .

So why does anyone take any notice of this ?

My CofE church has been open for services for a while now. We are encouraged to wear masks ( can't be made to ) and sing quietly behind our masks or hum along .

We also had our first fundraising/ social event on Sat with an Autumn Fayre. Again people were encouraged to mask up inside but because the weather was good , for the UK , a lot was out side.

How do JW feel about CBD?

Here in the UK you can buy CBD and it's considered very safe and effective for pain relief .

I know someone who sells it and she says that she has all sorts of buyers , even a policeman.

Congratulations, Emma Raducanu!

congratulations to ms raducanu, from orpington, kent (my hometown).. she has just won the us open on saturday.

i don't have a tv license or a tv, but i did manage to see the final in my local pub.

and the two finalists didn't disappoint - it was a cracking match with a high level of tennis.. and raducanu triumphed 6-4, 6-3. her achievement is pretty much unprecedented.
