Ok , so I'm going a bit beyond here . So far some Labour councillors and some Labour politicians have been accused of turning a blind eye to Asian grooming gangs supposedly for fear of seeming to be racist.
Could it also be that a good percentage of Labour voters are Asian in many areas and they put getting votes ahead of doing the right thing ? Is this situation as much political as social?

whether you like or loathe the guy, agree or disagree, surely he has a right to express his opinions freely on twitter?.

LUHE, yes , we pay his wages through the license fee . Yes , a lot of people disagree with what he said .
However in a free world someone should be able to express an opinion that we may not like ( as long as it's not inciting hate crime etc ) .
That , of course doesn't change the fact that he broke his contract which is the issue at hand here.

It's not often that Cofty and l agree completely on something, but this is one of them .
Lineker broke the terms of his contract. That's it , he broke the terms of his contract. If anyone else does that, they are sacked and no one makes a fuss .

Immediately after this story was on the the radio news yesterday there was a piece about a paramedic who was stabbed while doing her important job , something that benefits society.
Now if that lady at any time broke the rules of her contract she would be in trouble. Would there be this public furore about it , no there wouldn't.
Everyone would say " she knew the rules , she chose to break them "
However Mr Lineker became famous for kicking a ball around a field , so it appears that many people see him as more important.

These are just some of the Anglican groups who specifically evangelise worldwide. Catholics , Baptists and others preach the GOSPEL OF CHRIST worldwide . I am a British Anglican but am happy for any group to preach the gospel , that Christ died for our sins and salvation is through Him . Not any group of people who claim , falsely, that they alone can provide salvation .
Also Christians do good works as described in the Bible , feeding the hungry , clothing the poor , providing clinics in the poorest countries.
The WT likes to say that salvation comes through works , specifically the ones that they approve, others go about doing the works that were prepared for them to do as saved Christians.

You know perfectly well what Cofty meant , no other group spreads lies and false prophecies as well as the Org.
Other Christian groups do preach to a greater extent than the Org . as others on here have shown you .
