Dio yes that does seem sensible in that situation.
Thank you

we have a 25 year guy in our hall who is also a pioneer (which means he lives off his parents money), who likes to spend a lot of time with a 16 year old girl in the hall.
it is usually in a group setting but he seems to gravitate toward her.
he even has her auxilary pioneering , which is something i don't think any student trying to make the grades needs.

I got married for the first time at the age of 16 . I had to have my parents written permission. My now late husband had just turned 19 .
We had 42 happy years together until he died .
So l don't know what to think of the new law . I was pregnant at the time and we wanted our child to be legitimate.
This law would force young people to give birth while not married. I know that to many people that's not important but to some it might be .

Surely there should be a safeguarding officer.

Is there no safeguarding policy to report anything that you find suspicious or worrying?

so i went to a christmas evening candlelight service tonight and it hit me.
i was primarily doing christmas since leaving the jw for the children.
lots of people do it for family without really thinking of the relevance.
Infant mortality was bad then . 😒

happy to be fleecing the sheep who leave the folds of the multi-billion dollar "established" empires - like wtbts..
A very mixed bunch , some obviously gained wealth from being authors and nothing is said in the article about any ' good works ' that they might do with their money .
Others who have mega wages from the donations of church members.. mmm not sure about that .
Certainly donations to churches in the UK are nothing like those in megachurches in the US . They are mostly used for building upkeep ( many UK churches, like mine , are very old ) . Also we pay for our Parish administrator and give donations to charities.

I'm wondering if they don't make much ( if anything) of the circumstances of Jesus's birth because they point to the Holy Spirit being His Father . So that coupled with the first 14 verses of John's Gospel kind of support Trinitarian teaching .
Off course it's also that not celebrating Christmas keeps JWs separate from other denominations.
So maybe l am way off in my speculation.

Do JWs talk about Jesus's birth at all ? I know that they don't celebrate but are the events of the Nativity taught by JWs ? Or is Jesus's birth just ignored ?
