  This book is an embarrasment. How is it it could be in publication during the "choosing" period.

  Jesus is also much more hispanic than I imagined. Actually if i think about it, I know a few guys named Jesus here in Cali.

  I'm with Ann, the Jesus becoming the almighty after resurrection was interesting. Claiming that even with this lunacy, they were chosen during this time period is usually based around their concept of the "basics". This would be right on Trinity, right-ish on the soul, right on use of Gods name etc...

  But Jesus being described as the Almighty once risen would certainly put the breaks on that.

  No I do not think so. In fact the national debt is going down fast. Could be out of the wind by 2015 at the current pace. Maybe if we actually cut military spending we could stay there.

  Long recovery, too much income disparity, and the need to overhaul social programs to account for our changes as a nation. These are things to talk about. Using hyperbole in regards tot he USA'a financial stand isn't doing anyone any good.

  i'm meeting with a friend in about an hour and she said she will let me show her things about wt.

  i can't say the whole story right now because of time...but i have a copy of a wt saying how "jehovah will not let false prophecy's come true..." from the may 1st 97 wt.. i don't have a wt library so i can't look up the info.

  i know there are wt articles saying the end was coming in 1975 and also certain times from like the 20's.

  i was informed by a witness that there was a "wonderful talk" at the sad this week.

  it was about a clear conscience as opposed to a clean conscience.

  a clear conscience is no proof of god's approval because one my not feel condemned by thier actions due to a faulty perspective.

  Even if the govening body is wrong, you doubt them, or the fact that they are imperfect means something has to be changed, going against jehovahs organization is never ok. Wrong or right, your everlasting life depends on obedience to these guys.

  Yeah music has fallen hard. But there are always bright spots. Justin Timberlake is a poor mans Michael Jackson. But MJ was denounced as a bringer of doom musically when he came out in the late 70's. Even thought his music is well written, complex, and represents incredible collaborations.

  I second the black keys. Everything they touch is amazing. Of course part of that is because they "sound old". Al Jolson was great, but D'Angelo is back with a new album this year. He is an R and B living legend. All of the Black Keys contemporaries are great as well. The White Stripes are amazing. Jack White is a modern rock genius. The Hives and Strokes are a step down but also really good.

  There is some decent hip hop. The Roots are always fantastic.

  There is still some good stuff out there, but it just isn't on the radio.

  I am always a sucker for the comments section on these things. A comment from what is no doubt is an jagoff elder is just too good to not have a public record of. He is talking to some guy that sounds like he is on the way out.

  So then you have made up your mind NOT to follow the Faithful Slave that Christ has appointed for our day. That is your decision, your right. But that means you are in fact no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses. You cannot ask Jehovah to make an exception for you because you do not trust Him.

  Keep this one thought as I depart from you. EVEN IF our current understanding on the sanctity of blood is incorrect (and I do not believe it is), you are still being disloyal to Jehovah IF HE ALLOWS the current position to remain. You, exhibit more interest in this life than in Everlasting Life and minimize his ability to resurrect the dead. In that Abraham & Isaac's faith condemn you.
