  I got robbed this morning!

  first of all… i am ok. i was robbed at the gas station this morning.

  after my hands stopped trembling, i managed to call the police.

  they were quick to respond and calmed me down, but all my money is gone.

  Costco gas was $1.64 CAD per litre when we filled up earlier in the week, equivalent to about £0.99 GBP

  Costco is often 5-10c cheaper than regular gas stations, and it's going to go up on April 1 when Trudeau's money-grab of a Carbon Tax goes up (same day their own astronomical pay rise kicks in ... must be nice to own the press eh?)

  Canada has some of the largest oil reserves in the world, but due to the liberal idiots we import Saudi blood-oil from half way round the world on the basis of "climate" (more oil gets burned transporting it).

  The same reason energy is expensive in the UK and Europe, due to short-sighted and mis-intentioned "green policies" that do more harm than good. Oh, and help create wars. But it's what the liberal fascists like.

  Was he privately interested in the details those CSA survivors were giving him in interviews? Did he ask certain questions about the abuse because he was turned on by it?

  Yeah, it's a simple equation - someone who admits they can't control themselves sexually and sees nothing wrong with "using" women, should NEVER be seeking out victims of sexual abuse. It's so inappropriate to be laughable for someone to not see that, and yet he's still doing his "nothing wrong" act as though everything is OK.

  It's not.

  But he doesn't care, because his main focus is making money off people. Everyone is simply an asset for him to use - whether a girl, sexually, or a volunteer providing their time for free. It's all about "what can someone do for him".

  In this particular case the woman is doing of her own free will what she wants to do. There is also nothing wrong with someone voicing a concern about it in a private message.

  Absolutely. Even interviewing people who do sex work, when you claim to be a CSA advocate, is really "off" and if he wasn't such a pompous ass he'd appreciate the valuable feedback someone was giving him privately. To then make it public so he can play little miss victim about it, very bad etiquette.

  And if being associated with sex workers through interviewing them raises concerns for how it looks to someone professing to be an advocate is bad, that means he can't be surprised that going off to regularly use prostitutes for many years, some half his age is thoroughly incompatible.

  His complaint seems to be that they were nice and encouraging, as you should be to any kid auditioning. Does he honestly want them to say "your child is shit and has no talent"?

  Kind of weird and unbalanced to make it into a complaint in the first place, but to then interpret the comment as someone having a go? Odd.

  Whatever the situation, whatever the message, Lloyd seems to interpret it as an attack and him as the victim. One has to wonder how he lives and interacts with people in the real world ...

  i'm interested in your thoughts.. the media tells us a lot of agenda driven propaganda.

  you're hard pressed to spot truth these days.. however, i'm told that the rona is now just a rotten flu and not the plague we were originally terrified in to believing.

  last time i heard it was down in the hit parade to 16th nasty health thing.. all the people and family i know that have had the rona, have been complaining it's a very crappy flu.

  Last I heard they were going back and revising the covid death data, an admission that it was never as bad as they made out. Next you'll hear that the treatments that could have helped weren't used for political / commercial reasons. Many more were killed due to bad medical treatment.

  Expect that there will be gaslighting and no apology to any of the people saying the truth at the time who were variously banned from social media, fired or whatever.

  Ultimately, it was more about political power than healthcare, but we all lost out on both.

  Also, one guy mentioned Lloyd calling family and employers of people who he's had a disagreement with. We can confirm that after disagreeing with him on this site, he was all over our Linked In profiles. Who does that and why? A crazy stalker type, that's who!

  Miniimizing 'Punishment' - marrying a non-JW

  i’d like to marry my best friend of 30+ years, turned ‘secret’ girlfriend of 1 ½ years who is a jehovah’s witness, born into it, baptized and an active ‘pioneer’.

  our marriage would happen prior to letting any of her jw friends and cohorts know that we are together.

  once married she may simply come forward and ‘admit’ or we may wait until it’s found out – one way or the other, the reason for this marriage is not customary – i am hoping that by doing so she can avoid being ‘marked’ or possibly ‘disfellowshipped’ once our relationship is no longer a secret and due to our already being married at that point, there can be no notion from society elders about her ending the relationship.

  Don't marry someone based on some crappy religion's rules.

  If she doesn't believe it, she should quit. She's either a hypocrite or is lying to you. All she has to do is leave, it's pretty simple.

  I get that people want to have their cake and eat it too, but that's not how things work. In the real world you make choices, and it sounds like she just doesn't want to choose so is having you do all the work.

  Do you know for certain what her views are? Is it a trick to trap you into becoming a JW for her? Don't marry someone just to help them avoid making a decision.

  this item just featured on the bbc lunchtime news today as the headline story and the piece included a reporter who singled out jehovah's witnesses for discussion from the 30 organisations covered by the report.

  the news item then went on to feature an extensive interview ex elder and ex jehovah's witness writer lloyd evans..

  I may be naive, but I wonder how many cases are reported only because the person reporting it knows the authorities won't be called? How many cases, if it was mandated, wouldn't be reported to them?

  It seems obvious to make reporting mandatory but there's a chance it won't be the silver bullet people imagine it will due to "unintended consequences".

  Lawmakers often seem to have blinkers on and imagine that their laws will never influence people's behaviors.
