i know there was a leak a few weeks back, but this really does seem to have come out of the blue.. the anomaly was the original decision.
it clearly had no basis in law or the constitution, and was a flimsy, ridiculous ruling.
plus the whole thing was based on a fraudulent case in the first place.. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-61928898.
It should be up to each individual woman to decide what she wants to do re abortions.
Why? And for how long?
There has to be limits, unless you are OK with a 9 month old human being executed.
Two people make a baby. Two people should have a say in what happens if it was consensual.

Ultimately, you can’t force a woman to have a baby grow inside her body. Or maybe the government can force her somehow? I wonder how this is going to play out.
No one is advocating for forced insemination. This is a straw-man.
As you say, there are morning-after pills. Why not take one of those?
A significant number of abortions appear to be dumb people who need better education, so the fault can again be put at the feet of the democrats as it's their teachers unions once again failing kids and causing major issues in society. Most problems have an arrow pointing directly back to them.

So why don't we feel the same compassion about the pain of chimps? Or Gorillas? Why isn't the killing of them deemed murder? It should be - if you're going to make laws around the 'personhood' of a fetus, capacity to suffer being the deciding factor.
Murder is a distinctly human crime. But I think most people are against the needless killing and avoidable suffering of animals. Sadly, not enough pay attention to cruel factory farming methods or the products they buy (such as those containing palm oil)

If you're allowed into the HQ for a guided tour, you may not be quite the "activist" you imagine you are.

Each state, regardless of the size of its population gets to send two people to the USA Senate. Since urban areas with large populations tend to be more politically liberal than areas with much smaller populations (such as rural areas), political conservatives get more representation in the US Senate than would otherwise be the case.
That protects rural areas from the "tyranny of the majority" where a few large cities would effectively dictate what happens in the entire country, to their benefit.
It's a great system and it's worked.

It was done using tricks to get certain people into SCOTUS.
It was done using due process instead of mobs, violence and intimidation.
This is the will of the majority, not the whims of the thugs.

re: the bethel tours. It is odd. I seem to remember them being fairly strict on dress and grooming if your congregation was going to visit, but maybe their standards have dropped. But two explanations, both plausible:
It's not about us vs them, it's about the old-boys-club / in crowd vs the plebs.
They really don't know who the fuck they are. They are insignificant to the WTS.

Lesson 1: stay away from the weird touchy-man.
i was asking the above question because a pomo friend of my family told me about an incident involving her and a couple of dubs who were physically abusive in the past.. a single sister who was running around from one cong to another cong looking for a husband.
she was visiting my friend's cong for less than a year.
there was a commuter bethellite bro who was very friendly towards my friend (which i'll call her "q") and her fam members.
That read a bit like a Bond novel.
Just take the "dub" part out and you have regular people doing regular dysfunctional people stuff. Not sure what the JW influence is meant to do, if anything, because they don't promote that sort of behavior.
They just sound like dysfunctional people, the sort that would be on daytime TV talk / fight shows.
