I think what matters is the motive.
If people have genuine differences then that's fine and healthy.
When people are just out to waste other peoples time and pretend to have aviewpoint that they don't really hold to then that isn't.
What they argue could be the same thing though.
I think that people become negative towards others when it's clear that people aren't for real.

Elder's Manual Here

I think there was some trouble in norway when either a KH or a branch office was broken into and some files that 'didn't exist' were stolen. I remember readnig about it somewhere and I think it's related to this.

I think you've frightened them off...!
Have to make do with me instead, lol. My short bio:
Raised a JW. Father Df'd & moved to Canada. Told not to talk to him by elders. Had apostate written on my car and lots of other crap. Didn't talk to him. Got married. Had 2 kids. Did research. Dicovered the baloney. Talked to dad. Mother, sisters don't talk to me. Suffer lits of slander and gossip (they are ringing other congregations and our relatives to spread it!). Happier then I've ever been. Going to visit dad again with family soon. Met my half-sister and her family in Canada. Want to do something to help others, hence this forum. Nice finding friends to talk to.

They're tough experiences Frenchy...hope things go well for you.
I wonder sometimes whether we do the wrong thing for the right reasons or the right thing for the wrong reasons. Maybe we do the wrong thing for the wrong reason but with the best of intentions at heart.
I look back at some of the things I've done and feel so ashamed. I remember telling my Dad I didn't want anything to do with him. I never called or wrote even when he was undergoing major heart bypass surgery. I will always, always regret and fell bad about that. Having kids myself now and being on the wrong end of the shunning thing by others makes me realise how hard it was on him but he has never made me feel bad about it. -

I think Crisis of Conscience is more slanted towards Fred Franz's personal story whereas Christian Freedom documents the organisation and what they did.
Apocalypse Delayed is probably the best history of the society from before it's foundation and the influences on it through Rutherford and all.
Gentile Times is a thorough disection of the 607 / 1914 teaching that the whole belief system & 'authority' of the governing body hinges on. ie. if 607 wasn't the date then christ didn't come in 1914 and the GB aren't the FDS... I think it's well researched and honst.
It's interesting to read about the Gentile Times saga in Franz's book - Carl Olaf sent the manuscript to bethel as a genuine brother highlighting what he saw was an honest error in doctrine. Boy was he wrong! He and everyone who had read it was Df'd - really 'keep this quiet / cover this up' stuff. -

yes...Dennis Law - ex-United player who looked gutted when he scored. I saw an interview where he admitted he was trying to back-heal it to the keeper !
