i don't know if someone has already posted this, but lloyd has put up a video talking about his hooking up with hookers.

personally that does not bother me but the way he is handling it is such a god damn train wreck.

On a positive note as the real victim's here ( Dijana Evans and kids ) have their social media controlled by LE and finances too an idea is gathering momentum to have a Global GoFundMe for her so she can kick his sorry arse out and gain the financial independence from him.

I'd want to know the money actually went to her, and not into his pocket.

If he controls her social media, he's and authoritarian husband who likely controls her life entirely, including finances.

Her in-laws need to help her to stand up, empty the bank accounts and get him out. He's put her at risk, so if he won't leave, call the police.

" (2. peter 3:8) is often used both by jehovah's witnesses and others, to show that a day can literally mean a thousand years in the eyes of god.

this is then used especially for the creation story, and for the fall of adam and eve.

Dijana deserves better than this, and is now free to have a better mate, thank goodness. This is a hurtful thing for sure, but she is better off with someone else as a husband and father. Ick.

Is she? I hope she has kicked him out, I can't imagine anyone not doing so. But he mentioned the in-laws being there, helping with the children. Good god, what does he have to do for them to convince their daughter she needs to put her own life and kids lives ahead of his ego?!?

And the money may be technically his to do what he wants with it, but people mostly send money to support a cause they believe in, IMHO anyway. Why get mad at the WT for how they spend their money then?

Even if it isn't legally wrong, which is may well be, I think it's clearly ethically and morally wrong. The people contributing did not do so to fund trips abroad to visit prostitutes. His Patreon page is lies when it's talking up the "husband and father" angle as though they are helping a decent family man working hard, far from reality.

People who have donated should report him to Patreon and get his ass booted. Maybe then he'll get a job or lack sufficient funds to abandon his wife for a private vacation womanizing.

I suspect the complete story is still to come out. If this is what he's admitting to, I suspect there is way worse that he hasn't talked about. But everything comes out in the end.

Sorry, I have a "No Lloyd Videos" rule. He's made such a stink in the past, and even threatened me, because he can't control the comments people make and only wants "praise".

His non-apology response is text-book train-wreck handling of crisis.

I don't know about Croatia or the UK, but in the United States its against the law (Title 18, section 2423 if anybody wants to check my homework) to travel to a foreign country to engage in sex practices illegal in the United States. It is possible that Evans' legal problems are just starting.

Some of his financial dealings would certainly get the attention of the IRS. Again, I don't know about the UK or Croatia. In my opinion, Lloyd Evans would be well served by engaging a good lawyer, shutting his mouth (the first piece of advice that lawyer will give him), and groveling for his wife, if she'll listen to it.

Even if he's not broken laws, he's clearly violated Patreon rules and should be reported so they can protect people who may be misled into thinking they are donating to something they are not.

They have pretty strict community guidelines and using money raised on the pretence of being for something else and using funds to engage in sexual practices violate their terms.

I think people make too much of the "XYZ helped me leave the WTS". The reality for most people is that they were already starting their process of leaving, and started looking for information. Sure, the information was useful, for confirmation of their choice, but it wan't equivalent to being picked up by a helicopter from a battlefield under gunfire. It's more like someone handed you a leaflet as you walked past ...

Don't run back to the mall to hug them, and think they are your friend. They are doing what they do to help as they can. But some end up doing it because they miss the "position" they had in the WTS and want to reproduce it, thinking they should have some equivalent position in the exJW community.

There is now a cult of personality, and ironically, the same personality that if they went back in time would not really have helped them leave, because they would have disgusted them.

If you leave, YOU did that for yourself. Be proud. Go live your life, wasn't that the point of leaving after all?

If Watchtower or JW lurkers are reading, we are not all sexually deviant as Lloyd has insinuated. Many of us have left and continue to lead pretty moral lives regardless of being in Watchtower or not. The "worldly" people are not all drug addicts, sexually immoral, drunkards etc, as Watchtower insinuates.

This is a very good point. Does this help or encourage people to leave? Or does it tell them that the WTS is absolutely right about everything, that all they have told them about the people who leave is correct?

No, not all exJWs are like this. Not the majority, not even many. It's not normal, and not many people do this. Most of us who left did it because we couldn't abide dishonesty, corruption and seeing people being treated badly, not because we wanted to wallow in it ourselves.

The people who treat their wives badly when they leave are the same people who treated them badly when they were in. The people who fail to be decent and honest were already failing to be decent and honest when they had their JW badge on. Taking the badge off didn't change them at all, it just removed the cloak of assumption, where they benefitted from the belief that everyone else had similar motivations to yourself.

This is all before we get to what this does to survivors of sexual abuse and mistreatment, who may have contributed to him and now find out what a low-life abuser of women he is. How sickening must that be?

OK, only people who don't spend donated money to regularly cheat on their wife for many years with prostitutes in multiple countries, including notorious sex-tourism destinations, can criticize him.

That book is one huge contradiction - a few books later and all that hippy shit is out the window and it's all judgement and retribution dialled up to 11.

Suit, shirt and tie

i always hated suit, shirt and tie and wondered why men of all walks of life should be forced to wear these uncomfortable clothes and spend the money on them.

it should be remembered some of the worst people wear them, like creepy joe, putin, dirty corrupt frauds in business, law etc.

and of course al capone.

I can't remember the last time I wore a suit and tie. I don't even when I'm going for an interview (which I rarely bother with nowadays, it's all remote stuff).

I HATE them. It's so antiquated, uncomfortable, and gets in the way of focusing on your work.

It's been pretty optional (not done) in IT for many years though.
