Put me down for -27 to 480
I wonder if it would be better to do these on a separate thread for each month?
e.g. "Lloyd Patreoff August 2023"

SAMSON HAS SEX WITH A PROSTITUTE ...
Who was definitely older than 20, right?
the twickenham post made me think of this.
i have a few jw family members on facebook and being summertime, their pics of the convention have shown up in my fb feed.
along with their comments about "i wished it would never end" or "what a glorious weekend".
It was an "adventure" when you were a kid, one of the longest trips you might have been on.
Sitting on blankets on terraces, often under plastic sheeting as the rain fell, with the echoey voice from a tinny speaker droning on ... nothing better for a good sleep honestly.
Plus that special "I can't believe it's not chocolate" mint hellas bars to buy!
The teen+ years are then about talent spotting (I can't complain, I picked up a wife a Maine Road assembly)
Past that though and they are boring as hell. I can't imagine why adults, especially elderly ones, go to them.
I distinctly remember the last assembly we went to in Manchester. It was hot as hell and my wife was heavily pregnant at the time. We went for a walk around the concourse to get some air, and found an empty chair she could have a rest on. Immediately, some spotty faced brown-shirt-wannabe attendant trotted up to tell us that the chair was for attendants ONLY. He seemed quite shocked when I told him, very loudly, to Fuck Off!! (pretty sure that echoed round the walk-way, LOL)
We went home, we never went to another as far as I can remember.

"It’s like going to a county courthouse in Oklahoma or Saskatchewan and saying you have a defamation case to file against 7 people in 4 different countries, none of them your own, all based on things they said on the internet."
"all based on things you said on the internet that they repeated and laughed at"

I'd live to enrol in acting classes too but the only ones I found so far are on Saturdays
Oh no, the humanity?!
It's probably on Saturday so people who work for a living can attend. I wonder why Saturday is off-limits for him? Is it hooker-day or something? Surely if he works for himself and can set his own schedule it would be no issue?
Sounds more like an excuse for inaction and lack of effort, because:
"I'd love to learn how to [insert skill here] but unfortunately I can't because [lame excuse that shouldn't stop you]"
Sounds so much better than:
"I'd love to improve myself but I'm just too lazy"
had lunch with a friend, whose a lecturer in the accounting dept.
of one of australia's best universities.
he told me he expects to lose his job at some point in the next 5 years, as the accounting dept, will disappear, as all accounting will be done by ai programs, so why teach it.. if his fears are correct, that means that any profession that involves the mind, may one day face the same future.
Tricky, because there isn't any real AI yet. It's clever pattern matching, and it can fool you into giving the illusion that it's doing something clever (it is) but it isn't intelligence.
As an example: Generative AI art is improving all the time. Models are bigger, training is more involved, and PCs get more powerful. But it still doesn't really know what it's drawing. It can create amazing images, but it doesn't know how a hand holds an umbrella, which is why that same hand may sometimes be holding something behind it.
It doesn't really have any knowledge or intelligence of how the world is made up, and that the image is a visualization of that world. It just knows that certain patterns match certain words and go together a certain way. Well "knows" is too strong ... it has weights for them.
So let me know when real AI happens. Currently AI is in the "blockchain" phase - if you want to get funding, you say you're doing things with "AI".
None of this means jobs won't be impacted: the price of art has effectively just fallen to $0. Not only will this impact artists (digital artists more, the price for genuine real-life authentic art will probably go up), it will also impact art licensing companies too who live off them. Photographers and models ... why go to all that expense when AI can create the most beautiful woman imaginable and you can create versions for different markets with different ethnicities?
So there will inevitably be losers. But then there will be winners - companies will be able to produce products based on art without having to pay reproduction fees, so in theory that should be deflationary for prices (or else those companies will become more profitable).
It will of course also impact normal people's work, but mostly as a productivity boost. Just as spell checkers and grammar checkers allowed people to get more done faster, and to focus on higher level things, AI will be another tool. Of course when people are more productive, you tend not to need as many of them ...

Talk of his appearance reminds me: I saw something the other day that made me laugh-out-loud - some article about gay men dying their hair blonde being a sign of mental health issues.
Not saying any of that applies to Lloyd, but anytime I see his pic since he dyed his hair makes me think of that clip from Afterlife where his dad says "gay"

He told the photographer "make me look good." So the photographer said "stand in those heavy shadows."
LOL, brutal!
"Stay where you are, I just need to move further away ... in fact, give me 3 hours to drive to Hungary then move about a lot - the blurring can only help."
This man is one daft and stubborn individual, always believing he has the higher intellect and better plan.
He's one of the few dishonest people I've come across who are also dumb enough to appear to believe their own invented claims. You can almost see it happen when he talks - he plucks something out of the air ("regularly? I'm going to have to say libellous!"), repeats it a couple of times, then acts as though it's something he's heard or discovered and talks about it like it's a widely recognized and well-accepted fact, seemingly incredulous that others aren't in on the delusion.

Oh, he is yet again posting vague "I feel suicidal" messages again
Or his doctor just confirmed to him that he does indeed have the clap.
Yeah, my first thought was that maybe his latest "woe is my life, I want to end it" post is linked to "this hospital is shit" post a bit earlier. If he does have an STD or AIDS, oh dear, too bad so sad - FAFO!
(but life can imitate art: New Book - The Reluctant Prostate)
But I think if the court document was just a delay due to strike action then he'd be posting all about how wrong we all are. Unless he's just pre-occupied with a recent diagnoses for dick-rot ...

Countdown to him ranting about the poor Croatian legal system in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
Followed by "what I really need are more funds to hire better lawyers, please give generously ..."
