  "I noticed you are on a JW site, DID YOU KNOW I AM A JW?????"

  i was at university the other night in the computer lab, cruising this site, well a fellow classmate who has been in my class since sept and we have become friends, walks past, looks at the site i am on and says, "i noticed you are on a jw site, did you know i am a jw, are you one?".

  i was shocked.

  i turned to him and let loose,.

  Just so you know, not all JWs who get df'd have that attitude he described. I begged and pleaded to not be df'd, said I was sorry and that certainly I was repentant. They were the ones who said me and my husband were not repentant. Not repentant even though the situation was cleared up and not repeated and not intentional....... fact was, we didn't tell them (and we did, they didn't DISCOVER anything) until 3 years later when we were having marital problems. So his bullshit about attitude is WRONG.

  it's just become general knowledge in a wsm congregation that the wife of the ex po was removed from the pioneer list for selling clothes.

  ..selling clothes along with the watchtower & awake whilst out in the ministry work!

  apparently, she'd been doing this for about 30 years.

  i had heard rumors that bono was studying with the witlesses, so i payed particular attention to the lyrics in his new cd "how to dismantle an atomic bomb".. if you read the lyrics there is a lot that could be construed as religious, he's obviously being influenced by someone's version.. and i even caught a couple things i thought may have come from the green bible... but then i read the lyrics to this song: .

  I got the whole CD and its great. I would think if he was studying, he would have said Jehovah instead of Yahweh.

  how wonderful it would be to see the watchtower's promises fufilled today by modern science - without endlessly.

  What do our past Witness friends say about our Christmass tree and lights?

  i have always liked the lights of christmass, and some how i still feel weird when they do our our area in the field service.

  what do you say to them when they come to condem and roll their eyes at you for it?

  The JW's don't know I used to be a witness, so I am free to do as I please. My lights are up............the icicle ones. There are 2350 lights up now and more to put up around the bushes. My tree is up and decorated. But even when we got df'd, my ex and I were still living in the territory and we put up lights, they couldn't see the tree from the street, but we did have lights on the front of the house.

  Woman as Teachers

  14: 33,34 says woman should be silent in the congegation.. how do the witnesses explain it is ok for woman to give talks and demonstrations in the congegation?.

  While in the field ministry, the women are supposedly expressing their beliefs to unbelievers.............their male partners are supposed to have already expressed their faith in such teachings, thus the women are not teaching the males ............therefore no headcoverings.

  when we leave the witness "family" we know how inhumanly we're treated.

  when some return, there is no rejoicing, clapping or undue expressions of "joy" allowed openly.

  the gb wants a period of proving yourself worthy to be back in the "fold".

  Oh they were so happy I got out! They had acclimated to my choices but were never happy about it. Now, it's back to Xmas presents and birthday presents for my daughter and cards for me!
