Thinking about God, gives me a migraine..really

when i decide to start reading the bible or give spiritual mediation a try, i start to get sick.

years ago in melbourne, OZ. my ex-wife and i had a bible study with a woman, who whenever she came to the meetings got an extremely painful migraine also.
she would also break out in a cold sweat and somach cramps, and usually, i would finish up having to take her home.
of course, my ex-wife blame the demons -- and persuaded the woman to let her go thru her home looking for demon possessed objects.
she found something she reckoned was demonised -- and destroyed it, but nothing changed..
now i can look back with 20/20 vision and see that her inner wisdom was casing deep conflict whenever she got near the KH

used to be a lot of masons in aust. in fact, i think you probably had to be one to stand a chance of making it politically..
they built a lot of masonic lodges all over the place, and sometimes some congreations hired the attached halls for meetings.
but it's all in the past..
nowdays, the halls are being sold etc.
my father was a mason, and really wanted me to be one too.. (big thing apparently, to have your sons follow you in a lodge.)
he used to go to a lodge in Liverpool Rd Ashfield in sydney -- for some reason my mother hated it.
that building has been bought by the chns community in sydney and converted into a temple...
downstairs is a buddhist temple (went there a couple of weeks ago to burn incense for a sick friend and the silentlambs mob) and upstairs is a taoist temple.
when i told my mother about this, she really perked up and said that this should have happened years ago... but still refuses to tell me why she bears this dislike.

your friend may need you also...
so if you can hang in there for him, while keep your cool in a religious sense, it may be something that he will deeply appreciate in years to come.
please appreciate that the religious training he has been getting is designed to make him feel guilty even about having you as a friend.
he sems to ahve made his mind up to keep you as a friedn, even tho his religion pressures him not to...
i suspect that, at some point not too far way...he may have a great inner conflict -- a conflict so great that it could permanently damage him emotionally..
to have you as a friend then could be veri stablising for him!!!

i cannot recall all the steps in the growth to commercialism in the australian branch.. but, i was told that things were well advanced in the use of volunteer labour for commercial work by the time that rutherford visited australia... when was that?

by the time that i started to associate (1953), there were 3-4 circuits in sydney.
and i think there were by then 10-11 congregations. the phone book now lists 50. i think the only one with the same name as then, is ryde.
all the circuits included country congregations. the one that haberfield and western were in, ran from haberfield out to penrith, up to katoomba in the mountains, on to lithgow, mudgee and the last western congregation was in dubbo.
and with a 3 day assembly every 6 months (starting friday night), it was a big effort for families. It meant a day off work twice a year for circuit assemblies, plus the time required for district assemblies.
assembly locations were varied betwen city and country, but it still meant travel and accomodation expenses...
Okie for singles, but a burden for families!

The Messiah Will Return in our life time
by U.2.K. ini dont know about the rest of you guys, but i feel it, i can feel that that "peace & safety" sign is gonna get on a worldwide scale very soon(5-8 years).. i also remeber the first time that leader from afgan said peace & safety, i started to cry and for some reason, i felt very weird but happy and joyful at the same time.., plus right now, i feel funny, and i believe i am about to cry right now, maybe the holy spirit is around me or something, but i'm feeling the same way i felt when i had that dream about armageddon.... .
draw close to jehovah and his son christ jesus, and y'all will understand what i'm saying> (red words/king james version/christ words> """"" surely i come quickly"""""""" .
i believe christ will come in our life time, and im going ignore those who try to overthrow my faith and watch'em fall...
