In 1975 I had a traumatic experience. My world ended. Prior to this I had been happy. Then one day things changed. All of a sudden things were cold and blinding - and the first person I saw was a white coated male doctor who slapped me hard. After that, I hated men, and things were just never the same.

I know how you feel about your JW mum. Mine is the same. If I talk to her, the solution is always "well you could go back to the hall" or "if you hadn't stopped going youd have all those friends". She can't seem to see that the hall is not the solution to everything.

Dont give money to someone you don't know on the net. That is my opinion.
There are a lot of people with money problems who I know personally so I'd rather help them, knowing that its a genuine need. This person could very easily be operating scams across many forums and earning a pretty living!

i suggest when the society quotes somebody, we should confirm that they are usin the quotation in its context because the society is a master in deceiving and taking out of context everything.

i just want to get back to some basics here, this post is not meant to take the mickey.. i am of the opinion that the above-mentioned phrase is something that jw's absorb into their sub-conscious minds over a long period of time, with the end result that they actually do believe that jehovah does indeed operate through this organisation.. can someone please take me step by step through this essential belief of jw's, right from when the idea of an earthly org was first mooted.
i can't find any scriptural backing for this belief at all, not one tiny bit.
even if i really stretch and link isolated scriptures there just does not seem to be any basis for belief here at all.

True Satanism does not involve the things you describe. Neither does paganism. However, I'm not saying it didn't happen. Amazing stuff. It makes me feel good that in years to come people will not suffer with such ailments. There will be answers. Fair enough there will always be things we cannot cure, but this sort of thing is great.
