a bizarre explosion at a church east of kansas city killed one man on saturday afternoon.
atf agents said the explosion at the jehovah's witness' kingdom hall on foggy bottom drive was intentionally set, and that the person who died appears to have committed suicide.
witnesses described large amounts of smoke pouring out of the building, which they said was just recently completed.

you know how there are somethings that give you so much pleasure or joy?
it doesn't have to be anything amazing or huge, but for some reason it makes you so happy for those few moments.
some of mine are drinking coffee in the morning with my best friend at work, and the smell of an open fire (it reminds me of being a young child at my grandparents' house).
Feeling my unborn baby girl kicking around...
Being with Gary...
When my cat gets cute and snuggly (not often, shes a cranky 13 year old)

does not believing in god bring evil down to a simple explanation of the conflict that is within every human being.
seems to me the "force" is at work in the world, and the "force" is both good and evil.
sometimes it is easier for me to believe in the existence of satan than the existence of god.
Oops missed the responses to this thread.
Anyways I was very surprised to learn that Wicca and Paganism believe in Good and Evil yet they do not
believe in the devil.
Not true.
Pagans usually believe in polarity. That is different from "Good and Evil".
How pagans see the duality of light/dark is not the same as is traditional in modern Western society, which has been heavily influenced by Christian thought over the last several centuries. The Western worldview is based on dualism where duality is broken down into two very separate and distinct irreducible parts. These parts are independent of each other and can be either complimentary or in conflict. In the case of traditional Western thought, the symbolism of light and dark is deeply rooted in the Christian ethical dualism symbolized as the battle of good (light) vs. evil (dark). Paganism on the other hand has adopted a worldview based on monism, where duality is more often perceived as aspects of an encompassing whole. Dualities such as light/dark thus exist as polarities - two opposite yet complementing aspects of a whole. The yin-yang, which shows each "side" as part of a greater whole, each containing an aspect of its opposite within it, is a familiar symbol of polarity.

is loneliness.
the feeling of wanting to share with another and .
there is no one to share with?.
Except you don't display any humility. Unfortunately.
i have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.
1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".
sick, sick, sick!
At the dinner table amongst some banter about some religious topic - JW to the non-JWs at the table:
"You'll all be laughing on the other side of your faces when armageddon comes"
FULL OF LIES!!!!
OMG
Says family don't shun.
Says that when you get baptised you get told all about the consequences of DF and DA...
What a load of crap

I agree with Trevor to some extent.
However I don't see loneliness as being unable to spend time alone. I can do just fine spending lots of time alone.
I think "loneliness" as a word comes up when you feel the need, in a given moment, to share things with someone....but you look around and noone is there to share it with. Or there is a particular life problem that you would like some social support with and you can't see anyone to talk to about it.
I don't look to other people to complete me, because fundamentally my happiness is my sole responsibility and my "being OK" is a state of mind. However, being social animals we do need normal social contact or we feel there is a gap somewhere - and that is loneliness.

steve gordon a dark tale.
newly baptized jw steve gordon has just dried off and changed back into his cheap watchtower suit.
he sits down in the hot stadium heat and rubs his smooth, shaven face and closely cropped hair.
After his baptism, the story has the speaker telling him things which are all true...
Presumably things which were never said before he got baptised.
