Do you think marrying an unbeliever could be a disfellowshipping offense in the future?

Rules in the New System
by King Solomon inok, so even if laws are to be written on people's hearts vs spelled out into lawbooks, there's going to have to be some laws in the new system of things, right?
i say we get the ball rolling and brainstorm what they should be: after all, none of us got invited to the party anyway but since there just ain't going to be any party, why let that spoil our fun?
so, the theme is laws to be in effect in the new system.

Getting Back In (yes, its for family) What do I Say on 3rd Try?
by Meadow36 inin my last meeting to be re-instated they said for next time figure out which person from the bible i'm most like.
and be ready to tell them what i pray about and how i feel about what i did to jehovah.
being honest , speaking from the heart about jesus forgiving peter and having a hard time answering the prayer question didn't work getting hysterical and nervous-breakdownish at the end didn't help, nor did running out of the hall after saying i could never do any better.

I TOTALLY know what you're going through. (as in coming back for the second time for family). It sucks so much! Lots of good advice already posted. I'm actually going to use some of it myself. This time, I'm not going to open my big mouth and tell the elders as I have zero respect for them anymore.

What's The Worst Thing About Being A Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus infor me, i think it's that the witnesses teach they are god's spokesman.
they represent his "faithful & discreet slave"....and that they alone are expounders of the only truth and that if you disagree with anything they teach, you are considered worse than vomit.. it's unbelievable because these people are wrong so many times, it cannot be excused!.
as a witness, you must accept every viewpoint and if you (and your family) do not accept it all, hook, line and sinker, you are "apostates"!!!.

It's hard to pick just one...but I'll make a list (in no particular order...just as they came to mind)
1. Being so judgemental and pretentious that they alone have God's approval.
2. Shunning people/not associating with people who do not believe the same
3. Making meetings/service/studies your whole life and starting kids EARLY... (shakes head)
4. People always in your business, trying to find ways to get you in trouble
5. Being in fear of the elders, Jehovah, Satan
6. Guilt that you don't think about Jehovah 24/7 and you want to live as a normal human being
7. The control factor, whether that be behavior, information, thought, or emotional
8. Baptising minors. At 10 years of age, you should not have to make a decision that will affect you the rest of your life.
9. Never being good enough.
10. Did I mention service?

"Breaking Amish" TV show on TLC
by loading inhas anyone seen this show yet?
it was really hard for me to watch the first episode in its entirety.
it's so hard to see these young people have to decide between their family/religion vs. freedom or be shunned from everything/one.. or... maybe it's because this is my life?

I can understand that the JWs wouldn't allow actual cameras in the meetings, but if the people are already dfd...what can the WT lawyers really do? Is this not freedom of speech? I think people are more "familiar" with Jehovah's Witnesses than the Amish. Unless you live in the dusty trails of Pennsylvania, how many amish people do your really see? Can you imagine a tv show on TLC with different stories of dfd people or even showing the process of someone going through a JC? That would be good tv. I think it would be interesting. This is a side of Jehovah's Witnesses that people don't really know. If there is a show about amish, Idk I think the JWs could have a good chance.

How would the WT stop a show like that? What can they do? Just curious.
