Those of you in relationships, when your partner gets clingy, is it flattering, irritating? How do you deal with it?
by La Falta Habitacion Por Sr Hor-Hey!! ini'm just curious as i'm on the outside looking in when it comes to relationships, yet i recall undercover explaining to me a year or so ago on another thread how his wife was clingy one morning before he went to work.
it made me wonder as someone who's single, what do you feel when you need to be somewhere and your significant other is clingy at the moment?
or when your out and about and he/she is clingy, is it flattering, irritating?

I would absolutely do this with you if we lived closer. Or even if it was happening in Northern VA or close to DC (I'd combine it with a visit to my fam).
We could call it the Airborne Apostate Corps Leap of (un)Faith 2012 ;)

Atheists! Would like your suggestion..
by umadevi inhi friends, i have been reading threads on atheism and how they see life from their point of view.
i must admit some of the points that you (atheists) put forth have given me something to think about.
i still have faith in god but let's say if i would like to do a research on atheism, where should i start?

But don't think you have to read anything specific to atheism or by atheist to come to a conclusion.
Instead, I highly recommend you read and study voraciously about science and what is known about reality, and see if you think it comports with ANY of the stories of god or gods that you have heard, or your own past beliefs about god.
That way you'll know that unlike some atheist and virtually ALL believers, you weren't influence by anything other than evidence and the lack thereof.

If you haven't done so already, I recommend you read the funny, witty parable "Kissing Hank's Ass". It doesn't really have anything to do with atheism per se, but it's a hilarious, mocking send-up of JW's and Mormons.
Then read how the author came to be an atheist even after being "filled with spirit": http://www.jhuger.com/mystic_atheism

Does Anyone Know Anything About a New Request for Black Sisters at Bethel?
by OnTheWayOut inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cur3jfect5a.
.
it suggests that the gb has asked black sisters to go natural with their hair..

It might be of those unofficial things where it's not a written rule but if you follow it then you means you really love Jehovah.
Yeah, this. I think they realized that they were treating men with beards like they treat women, and black women at that; so, they saw the need to institute a new level of hell for Black women just to keep the misogyny/bigotry/patriarch balance of the JW world at it's correct power ratio.

What's a Good Standard for Right and Wrong?
by Perry in1. if you say that reducing harm is a valid standard because that is what people want, then how are you not committing the logical fallacy of begging the question by saying that what people want, is what makes something morally right?.
2. if you say that reducing harm is a valid standard of morality because that is what people want, then how are you not promoting an arbitrary standard since it is based on peoples subjective feelings and desires which change?
3. if reducing overall harm is the standard of morality, then should a nation that is being attacked by another nation not practice self-defense, since by defending itself it may very well increase overall harm to both nations?.

He sounds mentally ill. Depressed at the very least, but there is probably also something more than garden variety depression going on.
In any case, if you don't approach it for what it is, illness, you can't help but you can make it worse, so stay out of it.

yeah, see that's the point. You aren't just pretending you are homeless, you are pretending you are homeless and you've suddenly found a lot of cool camping gear and everything is going to be alright. And then you get to go home to a hot shower and lo and behold, everything is all right.
