Ariel, sista, it's called cognitive dissonance. Read up on it, and you will see why nothing makes sense in your life. I can relate, because I used to find myself thinking about this same situation, although I was never in it. It is just one more area where the "truth" way of doing things just doesn't work for humans. You know, humans, those neighbors of yours walking around with real lives, real emotions, real emotional needs, real understanding. One other thing- real conciences of their own, unless they have handed that over to some group of three men with bad suits and worse attitudes.

Jesus knew who your neighbors are. Isn't it time to listen Ariel?

Assuming things are really as presented (not always a safe presumption I realize), I just really love hanging out in a place where an ex District Overseer says "As I told you, there is a God and She has one ironic sense of humor."

And while the manner of anyones death is not really funny, I think this may be the exception to that rule. And if it the cause of death is not funny, the WT avoidance of the cause of death certainly is. Wonder if the could see the jokes coming even back then?

Actually, the words quoted come from a "worldly" security expert who is a bodyguard to the rich and famous, but also does seminars on self defense. An e-mail has been going around from someone who took the seminar. It really has nothing to do with "witness" issues.

Most places in the U.S., a person cannot be too careful. Especially women. The caution and subsequent "heads up" to women are certainly warranted.

Believe me fodeja, even as a male, you would not feel comfortable in many areas of urban America.

On the other hand, I agree that witnesses live (in fear) for this kind of stuff.

we have often times seen jw come here and say:.

why don't you guys get a life- well here is a perfect example of a group of folks who need to get a life.

while many of us left wt and have gone on to college and gotten jobs where we are able to provide these things for ourselves and our famiies poor jw are sitting around waiting to cash in thier new system coupon in order to get these things.
