Just curious why it isn't so front and center anymore.
Because it is a success story, as bohm pointed out.

Jealousy is such an ugly emotion. Your father is jealous of your boyfriend.

Made Episcopal Church Yesterday - Exultant
by Band on the Run ini am anglican.
when i lived in new york, the subway was out at the columbia stop and i walked down amerstdam instead of broadway to get to the next stop.
as i passed this enormous cathedral structure, i saw a sign stating that cesar chavez, the migrant worker leader, and geraldo rivera were preaching the sermon on sunday.

I did some filming in Episcopal churches, for the local Dioces, just as I was exiting the borg. It was a very positive eye-opening experience. I remember filming some informal meeting on a Saturday afternoon and noticing the bearded men and unbearded women in everyday clothing having as much say in whatever-the-discussion-was-about as anyone else. I remember the group was just getting down to business to work out some church business, friendly, informal, yet getting-it-done w/out worrying about some elders ego or organisational structure. I remember the sincerity of everyone including the sincerity of the Priest and other paid church workers we interviewed. Their interviews tended to focus on a problem or problems they'd focused on and their work as a group to solve that problem - this stood in stark contrast to what a JW elder would talk about if he was interviewed: the organization, the governing body, the members obedience and sameness all around the world.
The producer I was working for's sister was accepted as an Episcopal Priest during that time.

There's A Ghost At My Place Of Employment
by finallysomepride inok some of you will laugh at this, but it's true, there is a spirit that haunts the premises where i work.. it has spoken to me once when i was locking up, it was 1 single word "hello", i looked around and saw nothing, i ignored it, set the alarm locked the door & went home.
other times i have felt something brush passed me as i have entered the building early in the morning.
the experience that got to me most happened the other nite when i was called back to the store by security, as i pulled into the drive way there was a man standing at the rear of the building, in the split second of looking away he dissapeared, there's no way that he could have run off the property in that split second.. what do you think?.

Any guesses as to the cause of all this strange activity?
Yeah, but it wouldn't really be a guess

So me, of all people, had a religious experience
by sabastious ini was sitting in my garage, as i often do, to chill out and i actually ended up becoming angry.. so here i am, in my garage, kicking it on the stool for the drum set that is in there (i am a pianist/composer, not a drummer).
i start to think about all the crazy stuff that transpires on this planet.
we have all seen shows and heard stories or maybe even witnessed events that don't add up.

And yet, some materialists take that same to someone relating an unexplainable experience.
you mean it's as if we aren't supposed to question it, because obviously the person "felt" it, and thereby experienced it and thereby it is the holiest of holys to those who can't handle a little applied skepticism? Pussies ;)

Facial Hair a Perfect Fading Strategy
by zarco instartfragment.
so a brother wants to fade, but would rather not explain his reasons.
lets say he grows a nice beard or goatee.

Not a bad idea, so long as you are doing it with the actual intent of fading.
I guess I was fading my last 5 years as a Witness. Unfortunately I thought I was just helping-by-leading-the-way to get rid of a silly psuedo-doctrine that all Witnesses want to get rid of anyway. It was a 5 year beating.

Feeding kids now might starve more kids in the future from God's perspective; teach a man to fish comes to mind.
Apparently it doesn't come to God's mind.

Where is this spreadsheet?
You and I both know it exist in a researchers work somewhere. :)
it is the first time I have even considered assigned meaning (outside of "the demons") to what I perceived as an unexplained phenomenon.
IOW, it's been common in your life.
