Ah yes I should have changed my title to say that Something Big Is Coming to the JW Universe but in the real world...nothing!

The Annual Meeting of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses will be in October 2014.
.
In November 2013, just after the last one they published this now famous statement in the 15th of November 2013 Watchtower Page 16 Paragraph 17 says:
"At that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not."
.
Then, in the 15th of May 2014 Watchtower Page 29 Paragraph 15 it says:
"If we are to have Jehovah’s favor and blessing as individuals, we must support his organization and accept adjustments in our understanding of the Scriptures."
.
And now, after reading the newly released 15th of October 2014 Watchtower I read this on page 24 paragraph 8:
"Faithful servants of Jehovah have always been eager to submit to theocratic direction. (Read Hebrews 13:7, 17.) We may initially lack full understanding of the reasons for carrying out our assigned work in a particular way. Nevertheless, we are fully aware of the benefits of cooperating with Jehovah in any adjustments that he sees fit to make."
.
.
.
That magazine will be studied in December 2014, a few months after the October Annual Meeting of the Governing Body where they normally announce any "adjustments" or "new light"..
Taking all three points that I have quoted it would seem to suggest there is going to be a big doctrinal change soon and they are laying the groundwork for it to be accepted by the average JW.

God's dates, not ours
by donny inas a former jehovah's witness, i now sit back and marvel how well i had been suckered into this religion.
and to think that their own worst critic was their own publications.. in 1968 some 43 years had lapsed since their last firm prediction on when armageddon would occur.
they had predicted 1925 would see an end to the worlds suffering and a new world for the true believers, i.e.

Like the GB many elders are captive to the concept that it is God's Organisation thus no matter what the evidence points to they cannot see it or act on it...
As a former elder once you begin to doubt that the GB are the FDS then that is when elders start to come out and the house of cards comes tumbling down but until you doubt or remove that concept that the GB are in the hands of Jehoover you ain't coming out...

Evolution: A Satanic Theory
by cofty inthere is an excellent new article at jehovah's trumpet.... friends, the following article is not about masturbation, oral sex, anal sex, or homosexuality so it may not be appropriate for children.
please use godly wisdom when deciding if your child is mature enough to consider this material.
we are going to have a frank discussion about the theory of evolution.... .

The article on the daughter shunning her 80 year old mother is amazing...read the comments too...dubs believe that site is real and the author of the site very smartly points them to jwfacts.com but in a way that seems to defend "the truth".
The posts are very well written and is exactly what is needed by some who are still in...
The kitten being shunned is hilarious too...

If you had the audience of the GB, what is your #1 question you would ask them?
by Darth Fader The Sequel inthere are a million of them and mine is by no means the most important question to ask them if i only had one shot at it.
but, i have always wondered what kind of bs excuse they would give as an answer to this question: "brother goober bum, given that there are both male and female partakers here on earth who claim to be of the 'anointed' and plan on being of the 144,000 ruling with christ in heaven for eternity........ why are the female 'anointed' treated as submissive, second class citizens and why is their opinion on doctrinal matters, matters of teaching and reproving, anything at all.... why are they not recognized while here on earth even though you claim that jesus has selected them to become angels to rule with him?
".

I would ask:
"The old light that the word "Generation" meant a literal human generation of 70 or 80 years, who was the author of that? The GB or Jehoover?"
.
.
Trick question...if the answer is Jehoover then I don't want to follow a God of falsehood...if the answer is the GB then I don't want to follow men who get things wrong. Either way...I'm out!

I repeat this many times on here....
In this day of age, in 2014 where there are more mobile devices on the planet than actual human beings where these devices can record photo and video footage at a high resolution not ONE picture or video has been produced to support evidence of any supernatural phenomenon.
Therefore one must conclude there are no ghosts/demons/ghouls/mummies/vampires/werewolves/<insert fictional horror creature>
.
.
And the same line of evidence can be used to conclude if there is a god or not...
.
.
Of course, there are still unexplained events that people experience but has nothing to do with anything supernatural.

The problems Bible believers have with Atheists is the burden of proof is on the Believer and we just do not have enough proof.
by booker-t ini recently posted a post telling this board my athesit coworker stumped me with questions about the validity of the ark story and i just cannot stop talking to her.
i love hearing her side and point of view which in the past i would have dismissed as "satanic" thinking.
she has some very good questions and i am having a hard time answering them.

Athiesm is not a belief system...much like OFF is not a TV channel or NOT going skiing is my hobby...
It is simply a lack of belief in a God in the first place to then make a decision whether to believe in him or not...

Elderly sister (married) says rumor is that RC talk says resurrected will be with thier mates! Poor thing.
by Wasanelder Once in87 year old sister (who's current husband, a total nazi one foot in the grave) was excited to relate that (she heard) a talk at the regional convention said a wife would be happy to meet her ressurected husband and grab him in her arms!
she reads that as reunion of the married kind.
