Is this a site controlled by atheists?

under the exterior of being an ex- witness site, is this site simply converting atheism?.

i pose the question, because many come here in distress and insecurity with the realization that the w.t is wrong but still retain a belief in god.

my personal opinion is the threads on god are not challenged by an atheists personal animosity to believers, they are challenged and become confrontational because the atheist wants an elaboration and factual proof to a believers faith.. is this unreasonable?

If you did a poll on all exjws and asked them what they now believe I'd bet that the majority are athiest...

It's not "run by athiests"...its just many exjws come to the conclusion there is no god.

Most of us when a dub were told never to question things and now we do...so when someone comes on here and expresses their opinion or point of view that there is a god..well we question it...we ask about the evidence and we share the evidence we have found that brings us to our conclusion that there is no god and that evolution and abiogenesis is the "truth".

Most posters who are athiests are respectful to believers in a god but we still have the right to ask questions, ask for evidence and point out the major issues in believing in a god...and that is our right.

This is true not just on here but on every discussion on creation v evolution...believer v athiest.

If a believer chooses to pass by the reasons we express for being an athiest then that is there right...on here...I, like many others, will not belittle them for having beliefs...but I stress we may question and point out things that can be uncomfortable to a believer.

But this is not to in an argumentative way or to be critical...I find most athiest posters on here very respectful...and some are enthusiastic.

i know there are a dozen others here who were in bethel back in the early 2000's who know what i'm talking about.

he actually kept me thinking this was jehovah's org because of his sincerity as if the holy spirit was operating in him.

Circuit visit elders meeting

historically the elders meeting with the circuit overseer has had the following format : outline for meeting including ministerial servants then, after they have been dismissed, discussion of local issues.

the last visit there was an additional outline for the elders only, the notorious "gender blurring" discussion.. you might wonder what is being discussed this time round, so here you are:.

I didn't know Dan but John Barr I knew as well as his sister as I was in the same cong as her and I visited NY a few times and John Barr always made sure we visited him for the afternoon.

A seriously genuine, honest, hard working man who only reinforced the belief to me that it was "the truth".

After he and all GB 1.0 members passed on GB 2.0 are certainly NOTHING like these old timers...and I whilst I accept it is not "the truth" even when the likes of John & Dan were in the GB it is hard to accept they were as devious or manipulative as GB 2.0 are...GB 1.0, or at least Dan & John, had more honesty about them.

I think if most of the older GB members were still alive they would be aghast as to what the GB and the org have become...which is great because it will be their downfall.

the truth, the org is the truth...ummm...let's think about that...i was thinking that the bible is the truth & what it does is that it reveals the truth about you...the more you read the bible the more you may see yourself & your actions.

you may be a person who judges people, the bible will show you what's wrong with that...viola, another truth revealed about you.

you may be a prideful person, you read a story in the bible about that...again, it's another truth revealed about you.

How can the bible help if anyone if it is not true and full of piss made up by people who had little knowledge about the world they lived in?

Ignore it...live the life you want to live...enjoy it, don't hurt others and be free.

Governing Body went from anonymous secret group to T.V Stars??? How?

when i grew up in the 1980's -90's it was rare to see a faithful slaves picture in 10 years of watchtowers.

everything was anonymous.

no one really knew there names except for the "holy oricle" fred franz.. now they are full on t.v stars with there own show.

The WT is ignoring the Jewish calender which this year is a leap year and adds an extra month...the WT sticks to the first full moon in the spring equinox.

Almost three months since Crisis of Conscience Cease and Desist

i am very interested in getting crisis of conscience being fully available as soon as possible.

march 12th will mark exactly three months since the cease-and-desist letter was written.. i understand that things are slow and that deborah may be sick, but i was just wondering if anyone knew the status.

i have been asked twice already where the book can be obtained in spanish and i have told people that the book is not available.. there are ways to make ebooks extremely hard to share.

I got mine too but had 2 elders pop round saying they were visiting inactive ones with the invite and the "Return t Jehoover" brochure...which I declined.
