  The society cannot go back on the shunning policy...I've seen entire families in tears during a talk about being loyal to Jehoover when a family member is DF...there are thousands of families who cut off family members because they believe it was the right thing to do...

  ...to change that would cause massive family issues...even if the GB wanted to change it they know they can't.

  Confusion over the parable of the prodigal son

  though parable of prodigal son is superlative in quality as it graphically picturizes the scientific law of cause and consequence, its conclusion defames god.

  when the prodigal son returned repentant, his father showed his delight saying: let us celebrate this by killing a fattened calf.

  (luke 15:23) such a concept (let us rejoice by giving maximum pain to another innocent living being) seems to be interpolation for the following reason:.

  Isn't the bigger issue that the father forgave the son even though the son was not truly repentant but he only came back because he was hungry?

  Kind of blows the "shunning" practice to bits doesn't it? The father should have shunned the son until he was "truly" repentant.

  Whilst I enjoyed reading the experience and no doubt flipper enjoyed it too when dubs experience this it only reinforces the point to them that Satan controls the world and the media and attacks them using any point...

  The 3 dubs will have it reinforced that apostates and the media are out to get the organisation thus cementing their misguided faith even further towards the WT...

  That is why debates or discussions with still-in dubs like flipper had usually has the reverse effect of what we want to achieve...

  so, i haven't lurked here in a long while however, i have been checking up more frequently and i saw that there is a rumor going around about getting barred from marriage if the brother not appointed by the time he is 23. is that true?

  when i first came to this forum i was of the belief that those of us who were still in due to family reasons were few in numbers perhaps one in a thousand in the jws.

  soon i came to the realization that there were many more.

  we have dozens of posters here who are mentally out but still in.

  the scottish rbc urgently requires qualified plumbers who are registered central heating installers.. also, they are looking for volunteers to train as plumbers for the scottish rbc.

  I asked my still in wife was there any reason given in the letter as to why they are asking this and she said there will be a new KH "kit" that requires central heating and that is why they need plumbers.

  The heating in her hall (my one before my fade) doesn't really have central heating but then it is not a quickbuild...

  I'm in Scotland and my grandfather-in-law is one of the top three in the RBC for Scotland and there is a massive restructure going on in the RBC in the UK and there is a bit of internal fighting going on...plus there are a lot of new builds and refurbishments ongoing...the calender is booked up till 2017 as I understand...

  Just simplify it right down...IF there is a god He/She has simply not communicated to us what He or She wants us to do thus we should do nothing or not try to guess what He or She wants...

  Therefore live your life, enjoy it, be happy, be loving, care for your family, have a laugh, have friends and be nice...

  If a god calls you up for it at the end of your days then it is His or Hers fault for not communicating to us what He or She wanted...
