  this is a wonderfull example of how scriptures can be applied to ANYONE in their favor or against...

  ...furthermore, as the obove poster indicated, it's too long...why go through such shenanigans when you can just refuse to show up at such jc and be done with it?...

  ...yet you still refer to these jws as 'brothers', don't take it personal if they chuckle when they read this, you put it in there...

  ...do yourself a favor 'brother' Blasingame and avoid all this trouble for yourself and your dear 'brothers'...

  ...hello folks.... ...i've read countless of posts, ideas, opinions, etc here and i'm interested in your response.... ...there is a whole gamut of feelings here from individuals that are simply annoyed with the wt organization, to those that come off as hellbent on putting the org out of comission.... ...others yet seem to have made it their mission in life to eradicate the concept of god himself.... ...to any of these, what is your motivation?

  and do you ever doubt that these efforts are futile?

  do you feel that you posses the power/ability/means to change the convictions/faiths of the masses?

  ...life, as many of you here can agree on, can be a rather short 'undertaking' let's say...our minds have been given free rein to roam and contemplate as we see fit, our thoughts, ambitions, goals etc. are trully within the realms of our control (unless of course there are psychiatric problems thru no fault of our own)...

  ...considering how we have in fact been given the freedom to think and 'view' our world as we see fit, why does it seem impossible for everyone here to disconnect from what is obviously a great source of frustration to (in extreme cases) anger bordering on hatred?

  ...even those that subscribe to the 'idea' of a godless existence are drawn to these debates here, thus making god real by virtue of the very debate over him...

  ...many who believe in God (thru any religion) will die 'knowing' in their hearts that they believed in something real. Many here could reach their final days having hoped for an end to the wt, and not know for sure if it will ever come, thus my question , is it futile?

  ...religion has existed since man has existed...man would have to dissappear for religion to do the same, no?

  With the "New Light" concerning the GB, How would JW's respond to this question?

  i wonder if the wt or jw's in general would consider paul to be a member of the "faithful and discreet slave.

  he wrote a good deal of the christian greek scriptures.

  surely he would be considered one who was "dispensing food at the proper time" would he not?.

  However, he was clearly NOT a member of the GB, as the WT claims there was a GB in Jerusalem. Therefore, was Paul a member of the FDS? If not, why did he write so much of the Bible?

  organisation necessary ?

  this weeks meeting, there was one talk about the need for an organisation, taken from the reasoning book.. the usual stuff, how would preaching be possible wiithout org, or the command (?

  ) from hebrews to gather together etc... .

  however, i thought, the fact, that esp.

  However, I thought, the fact, that esp. the preaching work needs an organisation proofs that they are not supported by a higher power. If god (in case he exists) really wanted a group of people to preach some good news, why does he need a human construct like an organized religion ?

  Latest Watchtower about Education ??

  saw a sis.

  in the subway station holding a washtowel which had a title dealing with education, can't remember the exact wording now.

  she was actively pursuing everyone as they swiped their metrocard, so as she thrust the mag towards me i said "oh, it's about education, does it say anything about college"?
