NFL Playoffs: Week-By-Week Predictions
by Funchback inso, here are my first round playoff predictions (as if any of you care...lol!
colts 23, jets 15 (the jets had their super bowl vs. the packers).
packers 21, falcons 17 (i have a hunch that atlanta may pull the upset but you can't root against the pack at lambeau).

That's why they play the games!
I only got one prediction correct (out of 4). That stinks. But, Shutterbug, Crownboy, and CC Ryder only got one correct, also. So, at least I am in good company!
Gopher, Big Tex, and ashitaka each got 3 out of 4 right.
NameWithheld got 2 out of 4 correct.
Each of us who made predictions had an interesting common thread: NONE of us picked Atlanta over GB. NameWithheld and Funchback wanted to pick Atlanta but didn't because "you just can't bet against the Pack at home".
Now, the time has come for Week 2 predictions. I hope I fare better this time around. LOL!
Oakland 31, Jets 28 (Breakdown: This is a clash of two red-hot teams. Oakland won a close game at home in Week 13 against the Jets 26-20. If the Jets were playing this playoff game at home, they would easily win this game. Don't forget: This is a revenge game for the Jets. But, Oakland is on fire and Gannon just got his MVP. Oakland is rested and ready to roll. This game should be filled with a lot of drama and it will be one that will be remembered for a long time.)
Tennessee 27, Pittsburgh 25 (Breakdown: This game is most interesting. These two teams met on Week 11 (at Tennessee). Maddox was temporarily parylized and the Titans were smoking ;the Steelers until Stewart almost led the Steelers to an emotional, stunning comeback. The Titans are 10-1 in their last 11 games and they still feel disrespected for not getting any players voted into the Pro Bowl. Pittsburgh is coming off of a draining playoff game vs. Cleveland. Maddox will struggle this week.)
SF 20, TB 6 (Breakdown: If the 49ers can score at least 13 points, then they will win this game. Brad Johnson will play but he's not 100% healthy. The Bucs have a great defense but their offense is out of sync right now.)
Philadelphia 33, Atlanta 20 (Breakdown: McNabb is back. The crowd will be loud. Vick cannot beat you with his arm. Plus, he is banged up. I think this game will be close until early in the 4th quarter. Expect Brian Mitchell to provide the Eagles with good field position all day.)

cassline and outnfree-
Okay, I stand corrected. But, one time at The Vet, a pioneer sister who was a friend of mine asked me to guard the "box" while she went to use the bathroom. Some brother who oversaw the "boxes" happened to come by while I was guarding the box. When she returned, he gave her HELL! He said that ONLY Pioneers were allowed to guard the boxes. I felt guilty. She felt guiltier.
I wish I could float back in time. Then, I would have dipped my hand into the box and took some dinner money out. Also, I would have kicked that brothers a$$.

The people I know in that area haven't gone to Vets for years; they usually go down to Delaware racetrack or Virginia Beach, wherever there is an indoor convention (or just don't go at all).
Virginia Beach, perhaps. But the Delaware Racetrack hasn't been used in years (I believe the last time was 1984, when I got baptized). Plus, it is an outdoor facility. Did you know that a large part of Maryland, all of Delaware, and all of South Jersey all are assigned to The Vet? Why? Because the "Society" is too darn cheap to rent facilities in those areas. So, they burden the JWs in Maryland and southern Delaware by forcing them to travel to Philadelphia and rent a hotel room for at least two nights!

Room 215-
No doubt they are changing facilities due to the inevitable demise of The Vet. But here's another tidbit (that ties in with your money theory): Jeffrey Laurie (owner of the Eagles) is making it very tough (and strict) on who can use the new football stadium (other than the Eagles). They want the stadium to be a first-class structure and don't want anyone or group to mess it up. So, any group that wants to rent the new football stadium is going to have to pay BIG bucks. Thus, the WTBTS is out of the picture.

Good points made by all of you.
Yeah, the ladies' bathroom lines are always horrendous! Oh, and the guys carrying around signs that read 'Please Be Seated' and 'Volunteers Needed'.
Did/do any of you notice that ONLY Pioneer sisters are allowed to sit with the Contribution boxes?
