this is a bit lengthy, but is a very big issue with me, and that is the issue of women's rights.
i do agree with women allowing their husbands to make a final decision, being on how women think with their hearts and men think with their heads, making choices often times more logical ones.
but, the husband according to god is supposed to love his wife as his own flesh.
I'd like to help you out Dan, but it looks like Fred's been playing in the litter box again.
Claudia, my son is almost 2. It is a job, but I enjoy it. He keeps me so entertained.

i thought it might be interesting to see how many here remember where and when they were baptised into the borg.
for some the memory may be too painful, but i'm curious.. me.
it was 1966 in vancouver, bc.
Tatiana, I was probably at that assembly. Of course, I was only 3 years old in 1975 lol Oh how loved running around the Greenville Memorial Auditorium. I picked up so many girls there in my teenage years. Kissed my first girl at an assembly there too! LOL I was so bad.

You know what? When I had the great paying job and Jen stayed home, we were always in a bind. She took care of home matters and I made the money. I made the final decisions on just about everything. More often than not, my decisions got us into trouble.
Now, she makes 3 times as much as I did, so I stay home with the baby now and take care of household duties. She makes all of the final decisions. She takes care of where the money goes. We are in much much much better shape now than ever. It seems that every decision she makes is baesd on her logical way of thinking. My decisions were obviously based on my emotions.
I think that "men think logicaly" and "women think emotionally" is a bunch of crap. I think it's more a matter of "some people think logically" and "some people think emotionally".
I'll be the first to tell you that if anyone "wears the pants" in my family it's her. But you know what? We've proven that that's the best way for us personally.
Everyone is different, whether man or woman. I do not believe that anyone was created as a helper for anyone else. That sounds just as lame as everything else printed in the bible to me.

communication is not bad.
healthy associations are not bad either.
but, note the counsel paul gave to titus.. titus 2:1 says "you, however, keep on speaking what things are fitting for healthful teaching.".
The problem is when we try to deceive others, that is what an apostate does.
Is it? How do you know that? In 1974, if anyone said that 1975 wa NOT going to be the year, were they being deceitful? No, because obviously nothing happened in 1975, and they were correct. Does that sound like someone that is trying to deceive? Or someone that is trying to help others to see the truth of the matter?
The word apostate does NOT = deception. It's actually quite hilarious how JW's are taught that we are evil liars and make up things just for the sake of being evil.
You may not agree with what may be said, but that does not mean that the person saying it is trying to deceive anyone.

LOL...Yes you were young, but the April that I was thinking of would've been 3 or 4 years old in 1974. Do you know the Batson's from Laurens? April was their daughter.

Nevermind. I just re-read your post and saw the dates. The April I know would've been really realy young then. I'm sure that we know a lot of the same people though.

Send me an email if you want. If you are who I think you are, the last time I saw you, we had lunch at the Dragon Den in Greenville.

Although neither one of us mind if the other were to go out with friends, we never do. There isn't anyone that I would rather just hang out with than Jen. She makes me a better person.
