Newbies

jwn is getting a lot of newbies.. if you are a newbie, what was it that started you posting here?.

was it the "new light" on the "faithful and discreet slave" or something else?.

guess im still kinda newish...

for me, honestly, there were many things that always bothered me, but i pushed them out of my mind until finally...

i started to get spooked by all the creepy things the FDS was saying in prepparation to have a separate watchtower for jw's coupled withthe misery and discontent i felt when my "friends" abandoned me when i went to college after being laid off. i started thinking, "people are already treating me like im df'd, what's holding me back from indulging in some personal freedom? and i did the unthinkable and googled "jehovahs witnesses"...

excellent work! i read it compulsively. it captured the nuances of witness culture, that while we are in just think are mundane and/or harmless and showjust how disturbing it it really is.

it was chilling (that s#&t could really happen!).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put out the next 2 volumes asap! i need to read more!!!!

so last night the wife is working, the kids are getting ready for bed and i'm watching futurama.

doorbell rings.

now it's dark, snowing and i live on a back road, so it's very odd to have a visitor.

i think the element of surprise is either because

A. you cant make up an excuse not to be home

or

B. they werent really planning on taking an interest in you but it CO visit and they made a last minute decision to stop on by.

but then im a Lowly, stupid sister" how could i possibly comprehend that business.

irregular, lowly sister. mentally 99.9% out.

the only thing keeping me barely hanging on is my rental (cheeeeep rent!) situation and that im in such a small community i run into jws constantly.

i googled anonymous vs watchtower and every result (except a you tube video) was in an ex jw forum.

then

i went to anonnews and whyweprotest and theres nothing on this.

i really would like to see the wrath of anonymous on the WTS but im suspicious that this is a bogus video.

i agree with jws, if youre just listening to the song, no video, just sounds like a break up song. even the words on the wall (except for "cult" and "no blood" ) could be about anything (or everything for that matter). it doesnt really seem to call out WTS.

but they are talented.
