Diabolical, Isn't it? (New WT "Beroean")
by winsome in"slave organization" re-defines a "beroean" -- ones "willing to believe" without checking scriptures
something very diabolical i believe is going on with the wts.
years ago, when i joined the jw organization, we were encouraged to become a "beroean".

Obiwan......good point, makes me think of that well-worn illustration about ' cooking a frog by slowing turning up the waters temp.' For the WBTS frog, methinks the ' water ' is getting a tad bit uncomfortable.

Convention Apostatizing Brings Gestapo Response
by outnfree inmy flyers merely said: if as a jehovahs witness, a member of your family has been molested information is available for further information see: www.silentlambs.org or call 1-877-wtabuse.. nothing overtly inflammatory, actually more like a public service announcement.. i guess thats what most of the local organizers and friends thought in my neck of the, woods for the first two days of the district convention!
but once the 'friends' realized that the website i was promoting with my flyers and moving car billboard was not an approved wt site, the powers that be got ... well ... pissed is the word!.
nobody bothered me on friday as i went smiling about my posting flyers on the light and utility poles on the routes to/from the convention site.

OutnFree.....when I read of 'field experiences' like yours, I know I'm hanging with the right crowd. Thank-you...also...I Da'd because I, in no way, wanted to be used as a statistic in support of their ' world-wide brotherhood '. Certainly there are people I miss, but really, for me, when it got down to it, not being a 'company person' always stifled those relationships anyway. My decision has served as a real impetus for the process of closure. Just my thoughts.

Treating the pioneers "Just So."
by LDH ini was reading jjrizo's thread about elders who take advantage of the kh, and i had a memory i'd like to share.
all my life growing up i had heard about how "jehovah takes care of those who put kingdom interests first.
" and all of those experiences on the platform about getting an envelope "with the exact rent amount due the day before we were to be evicted" and so on.

Island Woman..if you're still here.....I was not saying that a congregation can't treat a pioneer well. Please read the black words and not the white spaces in between. We are just sharing our experiences and if there happens to be a number of them pointing out a conflict regarding what is said as opposed to what really transpires, so be it. But to conclude that we are saying no pioneer was ever treated properly, would be like me asking you, from your post,' are you saying Island Woman that all pioneers have never been mistreated ? It wouldn't make sense to conclude that from what you said. Likewise, once again, we are not saying that all congregations are neglectful of their pioneers. It's just our experience.

Island Woman........You said 'sometimes, here on J.W.D. personal experiences are related as if they are the absolute norm, the absolute representation of JW's in all the congregations'....your perception is noted. I don't agree with your sentiments. Since most of us have spent years having our true experiences not only invalidated, but re-defined to fit some make-believe WBTS promo, we find it quite necessary to now at last speak ( or write ) about OUR REALITY. This not only frees us from that weird-ass islolation thing, but also helps us get the bigger picture of whats really going on in this ' spirit directed ' org. My wife pio'ed for 10 years, helped many to 'baptism', and I'm glad she doesn't have testacles or the 'bros' would have kicked them in also.

Why Ex-JWs Will Never Go From Door to Door
by comforter injehovah's witnesses proclaim the good news of the kingdom under the power of god's holy spirit.
jesus commanded his followers to preach in the most distant parts of the earth and promised them that the spirit of god would guide them in this life-saving work (acts 1:8).. without the spirit of god, one cannot continue preaching about jesus and god's kingdom (matthew 24:14).
one surely will not have god's spirit if one preaches a negative message (against jehovah's servants) from door to door.

Nanoprobe......Thank-you for your post. I really have to contol myself when I hear JW's say ' Well I've never heard of anything like that. I think some are just trying to cause trouble'. But now we know of the cases a hundred times over where Organization malfeasance has led to or contributed to devastating consequences for countless others. We are not keeping silent. We will not be intimidated, manipulated, or isolated by their sick, twisted ways. The real truth is most certainly getting out. What has started as a small trickle will most certainly become a ravaging torrent that will sweep away present day WBTS and all other oppressive, abusive, man-made concoctions of 'spirituality'!!!!!!

i didn't want to hijack that thread, so here is the reader's digest condensed version.

Hasn't there been info from some U.N. office that indicated that the criteria for membership hadn't changed; the WBTS is claiming IGNORANCE and that is one thing I can most certainly agree on.

NEW JW POLICY POSTED!!!
by amac ini don't know if anyone has posted on this already but there is a new press release at http://www.jw-media.org/releases/default.htm?content=bg_molestation.htm that defines the current jw policy and i believe it has taken a step in the right direction!.
although they have not literally changed it to require reporting to the authorities in all states, they have finally put into print the following: "additionally, the victim may wish to report the matter to the authorities, and it is his or her absolute right to do so.".
i am glad to see, straight from the wt, acknowledgement that the adults involved have every right to go to the police.

Hey Path.......I, though of lowly status, am a poster on this site. Next time you say ' we ' as in ' WE only want to destroy the WBTS ', would it be convienient for you to ascertain if this is truly factual information regarding what ' we' really want to do?
