Emily1987, this may or may not be useful to you...but when I faded, I moved. It was a fast fade. In under 12 months I went from being a Ministerial Servant to being off the map entirely. But I moved to a different area, and broke off. No hassles from elders and the like. I was out of their area, and didn't return calls. Good luck to you in your fade.

Difficulty fading out

my husband and i are currently 'fading out' of the truth.
we stopped preaching in may 2016 and limited meeting attendance in january 2017 and stopped completely in june 2017. my main reason for this was my whole life i have been doing things to please others, even getting baptized to please my mum.

Not sure if I'm mixing this up with something else but I wanted to ask if anyone can give me information on this. An article or video I can read because I find it very interesting.
There was no global flood a few thousand years ago, Gokumonkey. There have been bad local floods in different parts of the world, but the JW assertion of a worldwide flood where only 8 people and whatever number of animals they stuffed in the ark is false. It didn't happen.

So my PIMO Younger Brother Tried To Kill Himself Today
by pale.emperor inwe all know that this cult will drive those trying to leave to desperate measures, and today by brother was very nearly one of those statistics.
he slashed his thigh with a kitchen knife and was bleeding out until he called the police.. i got a call on my way home from work from a police officer, coincidentally it was one of my old friends from school who's now a cop.
he told me my brother is in hospital after an attempted suicide and has lost some blood but will be ok. but i should get to the hospital as he's asking for me.

I've known people who turned into alcoholics or suffered severe depression. It's not surprising some might turn suicidal dealing with the process of extricating themselves from this cult.

there is a mixture of reports and accounts coming in..... two jehovah's witnesses (and fleshly sisters) aged 71 and 65, where found murdered.
a 26 year male suspect has been arrested.. in the apartment where the two where found dead, the words "death to witnesses" (“muerte a los testigos”) had been scrawled onto one of the walls.. he killed them because they expelled him from the jehovah's witnesses - canal de noticia, nov 28, 2017. .

Well, I know personally that I have a conscious mind. I experience myself directly.
However, I am incapable of experiencing another mind or proving that it exists.
You could be sitting across from me and still could not know or prove that you have a conscious mind.
I can measure your brain activity, but that isn't the same exact thing.

I can show that frogs, mice and humans experience to varying degrees, but I cannot show that an inanimate rock can. So what can this idea be built on if it's an assertion about physical reality?
