*sigh* I missed out. Not to say that there weren't plenty of youths who would have done this, but my mother was one of several parents who wouldn't ever have let us out of her sight until we were 18. And honestly, I was too much of a square to ever have gone to such a party without spilling the beans as soon as possible.

If it's true, then the problem isn't that they threw him under the bus (though I expect that they will, if this becomes a big story). The problem is that they tried to sweep it under the rug. They have tried to make him go away as quietly as they can. A short announcement on the site, which was then removed. A place for him to stay, apparently paid for by the organization?
If they know of any potential scandals that he is involved in, and they responded by trying to make him disappear, it's not just a bad look. It's a plaintiff's lawyer's dream.

I don't believe that there is one, but that is in part because we've spent thousands of years trying to figure it out, and the best we can do is several major religions that are split into tens of thousands of denominations, many of which insist that they have the most truthy truth or the only truth. If billions of people over thousands of years can't figure it out, maybe there isn't a way to figure it out. Or, alternatively, there isn't one.

Re: spacing-- the text box this site uses automatically inserts a line break when you hit the Enter key when typing a message. If you are used to hitting enter twice to create a line break, or if you compose your posts in a text editor which lacks this feature, you can end up with extra line breaks between paragraphs.
This happens to me if I compose a message in notepad and then paste it in. I end up having to remove the extra line breaks before I post the message.

Honestly, I'm surprised they put it online at all. So much of their early stuff is completely at odds with later teachings, much less current teaching. Are any of Russell's teachings/interpretations still kept today?
I would be really impressed if they ever published Studies in the Scriptures online. All versions/revisions.
