Encouraging scriptures for the day
by Kosonen inhello my friends,.
here are some encouraging scriptures for the day:.
revelation 21:2 i also saw the holy city, new jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from god and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.. hebrews 11:10 for he (abraham) was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is god.. revelation 21:24 and the nations will walk by means of its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.. revelation 22:1 and he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of god and of the lamb 2 down the middle of its main street (of the holy city).

Just had a thought…
by Vidiot ini been reading quite a few experiences on reddit lately, and their seems to be a common theme coming up….
…dialed-up-to-eleven shunning of xjws by their witness relatives.. it reminds me of back in the day, listening to some of the over-the-top vitriol displayed by hard-core loyalists when the topic of evolution or apostates came up….
…i was gobsmacked when i finally realized these guys weren’t offended and indignant because they thought it was lies….

When doubts manifest, one of the possible reactions is to double down and dig in. The more you do that, the more sunk the cost gets. So it builds on itself and you get someone whose devotion borders on fanatical.

"...The Most Important Day of the Year" Watchtower January,2024
by Listener inwhat a mockery that statement is to over 99% of their followers.
there is nothing biblically that makes the jw memorial day important to anyone that does not partake.
they still continue to say .

He was feeling sorry for himself during the livestream. He 'broke down' when he was reading the message he wrote about feeling that everything was pointless. Then he started talking about his family and the tears dried up instantly.
I do think he was already growing tired of the exJW video grind, though. He was always dumping on exJWs as a group. It has only increased in the past two years. I think he wanted to move on from Watchtower-related stuff. And I don't think it would have worked out well. He would still have a stressful home life, or he would have eventually left home and be in a similar position to where he is now- wanting to be free from the responsibilities of a husband and father, but still obligated financially to his wife and daughters.
I think it would have blown up on him at some point, though probably not as bad as it has thanks to the livestream video. And I just can't see where he would have carved out a successful niche for himself. He's just not driven enough. I think he was doomed to failure. He has had the misfortune of accelerating it by making a lot of bad decisions in a short time. But I think he would have eventually burned out and probably gone down in flames.

Lawyers release survey on alleged Jehovah's Witness child abuse
by Tahoe ina team of lawyers has released the results of its survey on alleged child abuse by members of the jehovah's witnesses religious group in japan.. the team held a news conference in tokyo on monday.
it provides legal support to former members of the group as well as to children of its members.. the lawyers conducted the survey, following the publishing of the health and welfare ministry guidelines last year about child abuse related to parents' religious beliefs.
a total of 560 people responded.. the survey shows 81 percent of the respondents said they had cards indicating they desired to refuse blood transfusions.. the ministry's guidelines state that parents' refusal of medical treatments for children on religious grounds amounts to neglect --- a form of abuse.. the lawyers said investigations are necessary to find how many people died from refusing blood transfusions, and how many of them were children.. the survey also shows 92 percent of the respondents experienced whipping, 96 percent were banned from school activities, and 93 percent were forced to limit their human relations.. the lawyers said many of the children experienced physical and mental abuse, which afterward led to problems such as loneliness, sense of alienation and a lack of self-esteem.

The group said it had consistently advised parents to teach and discipline their children in a loving manner in harmony with what the Bible teaches.
Which is to say... spare the rod and spoil the child. Which sure seems to encourage physical beatings as an approved form of discipline.

Some of the restrictions can also seem petty or unnecessary. I can remember the gossip whenever someone left or was DF, about how their lives had changed. We would comment on how a young man now had his hair down to his shoulders, or had an earring, or grew out his beard, or was smoking cigarettes, or (gasp!) had a tattoo! He was wearing a t-shirt with the logo for some music band, possibly one of those demonic heavy metal acts! He celebrated his birthday! He bought Christman presents! He said "bless you" when someone sneezed! He had a mohawk hairdo! He came out as gay!
Then you leave the organization and you realize just how suffocating it was. Did we really feel shame or sadness for that young man, or were we gossiping because we were jealous that he could do so many simple things that we were denying to ourselves? It is so insane when you finally look at it from the outside.

Why does he still have the jwwatch.org text on his videos? The site is dead. It still leads to a blank website with "There has been a critical error on this website." as the only text.
Maybe he can add the link to his old twitter account while he's at it.

His lack of a work ethic is almost as damaging to him as his sociopathy. Imagine sitting on a potential gold mine (his YT channel) and the only thing holding you back is your own laziness.

Money and credit are useful forms of exchange as a community grows larger. Bartering is convenient when you are living in huts or caves and have very few material goods (including food). But as living standards increase and lives become more stable and organized, bartering can take up an inordinate amount of time and can lead to scarcity (more time spent bartering, less time spent producing goods to barter with).
In a world populated by perfect people and led by a god who provides everything and keeps things in order, money would not be any problem at all. It would work perfectly and suffer none of the issues that occur in an imperfect world.
