I guess this means that suicide doesn't prevent you from going to heaven.

In the livestream, he said that he wasn't having an affair-- he did not want a relationship, he wanted sex.
That has always been his approach. Sexting with "women," his obsession with jerking off, paying for sex, etc. He likes the physical thrill, but does not want any strings attached. A wife and two daughters are a lot of strings. The "problems with their marriage" and their "incompatibility" with one another might simply be a case of him wanting her to be there when he wanted sex, and staying out of his way the rest of the time.

"Worldy fantasies"? Like making billions in real-estate sales?

Where is Tony?
by Athanasius inon february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

slientbuddha: There is literally a garden chair that’s pushed directly up under the door handle of the house
Top-notch security!
My guess is that he was the only one in the GB pushing back against changes that the rest wanted to implement. It came to a head and he agreed to step down. Anything else, I have no clue. But a man of his age might have some health issues, and the stress of leaving a position as lofty as 'GB member' certainly would not help his blood pressure any. Especially if he was effectively pushed out.
Time will tell. I'm impressed that they managed to keep it as hush-hush as they have, but I would imagine that we'll learn a lot more, eventually.

i was called on this morning
by stan livedeath infor the first time in ages.. a very elegantly dressed senior lady and a young chap.
but--it wasnt just having a leaflet thrust at me--it was a full blown "old style" presentation.
i stopped her going to far into it--by asking if they are jws--and told them i was an apostate.

I would have simply said no thanks and closed the door. But I would not have an issue with identifying myself as an apostate. It gets the point across quickly and clearly (except, apparently, when the JW is clueless!). It's the one way to reduce the odds that they will ever knock on your door again.

Consequences for actions. A high fat / sugary diet
by joe134cd ini want to illustrate my point about where many x-jws go wrong.
to illustrate, imagine a morbidly obese person goes on a calorie restricted diet.
subsequently he loses the excess calories and his health improves.

If the only thing the WTS did was have a few beneficial rules regarding health and good living, that would be great. But they also prohibit blood transfusions. They encourage shunning of those who are disfellowshipped. They demand --under the threat of being disfellowshipped-- that the leadership be obeyed unconditionally, even when they are wrong.
If every JW followed this advice and was a paragon of clean living and good health, those latter rules would still be a reason to leave the organization. No one gets disfellowshipped for being obese. They probably don't even get any friendly counsel. The rules they enforce the most are the ones that make the organization such a bad place to be in.
Is the occasional success story worth the suffering that their policies inflict?

The August 2024 Watchtower controversy and potential further changes
by ukpimo inas an educated guess, the august 2024 watchtower may be delayed because 2 complicated subjects need to be discussed in this issue which haven't yet been approved to be included in the revised shepherding textbook.
perhaps the revised shepherding textbook must be finalised before this watchtower is released publicly.. the 2 subjects may be as follows:.
how to shepherd and appoint brothers based on the removal of the hour requirements, getting to know the brothers instead (does this mean prioritising appointing men who have auxiliary pioneered during the co visit and campaigns or men who are regular pioneers?).

It almost seems like they are saying "now that we cannot use the field report as a cheat sheet, we will need to get to know the flock better." I wonder how many MS and elders will resent actually having to become engaged with the rank-and-file instead of just reading some numbers and throwing a bunch of Bible verses at people.

When you are used to taking several vacations a year, along with one or two paid trips abroad, a couple of months can feel like "too long."
Maybe his patrons can post "it's been too long" as a comment on his next YT video.

The MYSTERY of the Society's BETH-SHAN secret cult compound
by Terry in1945 black and white photo of beth-shan (now hand colored):.
beth-shan house built in 1939, ten years after beth-sarim on adjacent property.
beth-shan, which means "house of security" in hebrew, was literally a house of security -(cult compound)*- it was accessed by a single dirt road that was guarded and gated.

I didn't know that Beth Sarim was granted status as an historical landmark. That's interesting.

Another in a long line of reminders for his supporters- this is who you are supporting with your money. Frequent vacations, infrequent content uploads. I am thinking that it is now possible to see his Patreon support dip under 300 before the end of the year. I thought we were down to the hardcore supporters who would keep sending money no matter what. But perhaps the recent slowdown only means that future drops will be more erratic.
