Jw's cant show honor to their mothers and fathers on the national mother and fathers day. This award was given on national children's day. JW' s cant honor a birthday but this award is ok.

russian jw mr novik is shown in full view on jw org wearing the "parental glory" badge with its prominent cross pattee on his lapel - and not one word of caution is sounded.
similarly, jw forums are abuzz singing the praises of mr and mrs novik and their brood after they received the parental glory honor from no less than jw-oppressor, mr putin.. from the stinking gb heaven all the way down to the dusty rank and file, the hypocrisy is sky-high.

by HereIgo ini remember when i was in as a teenager, some time around 2006, samuel herd of the governing body came to dedicate our newly built hall.
i remember bumping into him accidentally and a brother pulled me aside and half jokingly and half seriously telling me that i should be more careful around jehovah's anointed ones.
it was quite comical to say the least.

What is the most bizarre counsel you received as a JW, from a JW?

for example, i once had a sister tell me i was gambling because i liked playing skill crane (the machine where you have to try to pick up prizes like stuffed animals) at the arcade.

A sister told me that barelegs are too sexy and sisters should always wear stockings to keep from enticing brothers.
My friend was counseled by an elders wife that her bras didnt have enough padding because she could sometimes see her nipples through her clothes.
I was out in FS with an elder snd he asked me how was I feeling. I said "I'm straight" he said that i should not be using that type of language. It's slang and Christians should never use slang.
I had a sports car and was counseled by the CO that it was inappropriate because it wasnt a field service car.
My son had alot of hair. Ir was really long but i didnt want to cut it because he was still a baby. I received heavy counsel about how his hair was too long. So i cut it when he was only 6 mths.

I hated when the "bro" would put the mic too close to my mouth and then I would try to move my head back
away from it and he would just put it closer. It was something weirdly sexual about that. I was so glad they switched to hand mics

so they can't come visit to encourage and be kind to their fellow "brothers and sisters".

They are hoping that the family member leaves so that the JW's can come visit for social reasons.

Single Sisters Over A Certain Age Group Getting A Bad Rap
by HiddlesWife ini'm new here; one of my relatives was a member on this forum a few years ago and told me about it.
anyways, as a sister who has been in the org since childhood and now in her late 40's (plus as a woman of color), i have noticed that a number of brothers have an ageist attitude.
they are very accepting of young women under 26 and rejecting women over that age, particularly those in their 30's and over.. is this an unspoken mindset from wthq (specifically from bethel), or is it that quite a number of males (sorry, i'm not sexist here) have this type of mentality?

After I turned 18 and few older "brothers" approached me about dating. One in particular was way too old, He was in his 50's. At 18 i didnt really know what was going on, I actually thought something was wrong with me because these old jokers was sweating me and the "brothers" in my age group wasnt. I just wrote them off as being weird and creepy. I think it's all about control, they dont want a mature woman secure in her own thoughts.

I just recently stopped attending. I keep getting messages, emails, texts and voice mails asking if i'm ok. They all say the exact same thing. It's creepy and a bit scary. Because it's the EXACT same words that are being used over and over. When I respond and say that i'm ok they don't reply back. No one has ever replied back and said "oh ok glad to hear you are ok". I will just get another message from another person in a week or so. It's crazy. What is this? I have never heard of or experienced anything like this. Whats going on?
