The only “law” referenced in the MLK quote I posted is the cruel and barbaric Mosaic Law from the Torah. And the part of the quote I highlighted was actually MLK riffing on a phrase usually attributed to Mohandas Gandhi.
I’m curious to hear why you are bothered by King’s explanation of Gandhi’s pithy commentary on the absurdity of this particular part of the Mosaic Law?

I've talked to him on the phone recently—I too was curious about his notable absence.
He made it very clear that he is extremely frustrated and disappointed by the notable change in the general atmosphere of this board from years ago.
I encouraged him to not read or respond to the threads he finds controversial and/or upsetting, but that's just not him.
You may have noticed that he returned for a while and has once again departed, which is a shame I think because he contributed much in a positive way to this forum.
His absence is obviously felt by many here, as this thread demonstrates.

some believe protesters have the “right” to block main roads, traffic and other places simply because they have a right to protest something.. in la, two deputies were ambushed and shot in the head and as the ambulance tried to take the fallen deputies to the emergency room, protesters blocked the way chanting they wished the police would die!
