Vidiot: Never let doctrine become dogma if there's a chance that evidence might disprove it.
The thing is, with cults it’s never really about doctrine, it’s about control.
And let’s review: It’s a cult!
well known norway elder and watchtower doctrine apologist, (rolf furuli) was disfellowshipped a few days ago for the crime of expressing opinions contrary to some watchtower dictates.. like wt leadership in the past, they have no problem eating their own..

for myself i just try to avoid them intentionally maybe see them once every couple of years on average.
they used to be easy going but over the last 10 years or so they got more cult like and distant and i'm really not bothered by that, maybe a bit.
they stick to their own or other members like they are their family so, its makes it unattractive for myself to connect and reach out to them anymore.
I don’t.
They shun me because I no longer attend meetings at the KH and have simply faded away.
For the past eleven years, my two adult children refuse to talk to me and rebuff all attempts I have made at communication. Both live in the same small town; one is literally only two blocks away from me. I drive by his house two or three times every week running errands and just going about my business.
It’s very sad and so completely pointless and unnecessary.
This religion destroys families.
Let’s review: It’s a cult!
is this just a coincidence?
is trump a “super spreader”?
is this a republican payback?
It's a contagious disease. It's not hard to figure out. If you really can't figure it out you're just not paying attention. JFC!

Here's what current US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines say on possible reinfection:
"Data to date show that a person who has had and recovered from COVID-19 may have low levels of virus in their bodies for up to 3 months after diagnosis. This means that if the person who has recovered from COVID-19 is retested within 3 months of initial infection, they may continue to have a positive test result, even though they are not spreading COVID-19.There are no confirmed reports to date of a person being reinfected with COVID-19 within 3 months of initial infection. However, additional research is ongoing. Therefore, if a person who has recovered from COVID-19 has new symptoms of COVID-19, the person may need an evaluation for reinfection, especially if the person has had close contact with someone infected with COVID-19. The person should isolate and contact a healthcare provider to be evaluated for other causes of their symptoms, and possibly retested."
some people are such haters!
we may have real differences on politics, religion or life but we should never rejoice that someone has gotten an illness simply because we don’t see eye to eye with them.. there are people here that i have differences with but i would never wish them i’ll health or worse, death.👎.

I don't often see eye-to-eye with Minimus about much of what he posts, but when he's right, he's right.
And he is so very right about this!
Besides the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the most serious "sicknesses" that is currently sweeping the United States is the lack of civility and downright meanness shown by so many people just because they disagree about politics, religion or whatever. And it's not just from people of any one particular group; there's plenty of bad behavior from all sorts of groups.
It's entirely possible to disagree on any number of topics without being jerks about it.
Thank you Minimus for posting this!

this will never work but liberals are too stupid to know it.
first off all you have to do is cross the border and buy a car.
if they will not let you license it in the state then many will license it out of state.

Petra, I didn’t get the email, can you please PM me the link? Thanks!
I’m confused. How could the Donald test positive for a Democratic “hoax”?

Simon: Democrats are nuts.
Not sure if that comment was directed at me or not, but just to set the record straight: I don’t identify with any one political party in the United States. If I did—and I don’t—the closest match to my particular philosophical and political views is the Libertarian party, but I don’t agree with all of their platform either. I am truly an independent thinker.
By the way, I’m a scientist by trade, specifically a chemist and a physicist.
if you accuse people of being stuck in jw mindset or "cult-like" mentality simply because someone has a different view of politics than you, you'll be deleted.. it's insulting and a lazy substitute for having any real argument for a proper debate.. what next ... "you smell" ?.
Cofty: Six years ago another poster suggested calling "Cofty's Law".
Actually, it was at least nine years ago in this thread by forum member, NewChapter:
At that time, I (when posting as 00DAD) suggested calling it Cofty’s Corallary because I thought it was more euphonious, but alas it never caught on!
