Songs that make you cry...
by El Kabong ini've been kind of sad the past few days for several reasons, but, there are certain songs that just cause the tears to flow whenever i hear them (and especially alone).
only time by enya.
i know that this song is often linked to the sept 11 attacks, but it really is just so hauntingly beautiful.

We get WGN..I wonder what time it will be on?
My daughter donated a couple limo's to ride in the parade here , on the condition that her teenage kids get to ride in it too.
I'm sure they will be poking their heads out the sunroofs..
Snoozy...who will be wearing green!..

Lets TALK COLON CANCER (join in)
by DannyHaszard insaid to be the #2 cancer killer in the west pre-cancer growths start out very slowly takes years to evolve, but good news,as the colon/large bowel has an egress to facilitate exams and most cancers occur in the last end of the pipe the rectum so it's easy to detect.
almost a taboo topic,it seems anything goes with explicit talk of sexual matters but folks are squeamish when discussing bm (bowel movements) as a 28 year patient ravaged with a diseased bowel from the auto immune disease ulcerative colitis i have lost my bashfulness.
i have had countless colonoscopy .they can make you so relaxed with a little morphine that i once fell asleep.

My X daughter in law just lost her Father to Colon Cancer. They found out he had it after he turned yellow..it had spread to his liver.
He only lasted a few weeks after that diagnosis. He was a really great father.
I just had a check up and the Dr asked me if I ever had one..I said..did you?..He laughed and said no. (He was my age).
My daughter had one and she screamed when they did it.Makes you a little nervous about having it done. I'm always afraid they will rupture something..but you are right..it can save lives..or make your life more pleasant as in your case. My sister in law has the bag also..she loves it.
Now she can travel and just about eat anything she wants and not worry about finding a bathroom..
Sure would have been nice if my X-daughter in laws father had the test..maybe he would still be here. He is going to be missed by many.He was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back or drop what he was doing to help family or friends...or even strangers..
Snoozy..RIP Don...You will be greatly missed.

One of his (Tim's)old posters started a site when Tim closed his..if you look at the links he provided one of them is RONNIE'S...it is a lot like Tim's was except not as active. It's a pretty mellow Ex JW site but nice. A few of Tim's posters still post there.
Snoozy..Tim still has a site called The Skeptics. It attracts a lot of Canadians..his home place.

I remember when I was working (I'm retired on a fixed income now) how awful it felt to be a slave to my job. Having to take all the Bull....from other workers and customers just because I HAD to work!
It's a terrible thing to feel and I would definately vote for the simple life. Don't worry about keeping up with the Jones..one week without a job and they will probably be on the streets!
If someone is really deep in debt I would seek out a debt (credit)counselor from the state. They charge according to your income. They can work with your debtors to lower or wipe out interest and work out a payment plan for you.
Seems like when you don't have a lot of debt you can hold your head up just a little higher..
If you find you just really want something like a boat or a new car..rent one for a while..just as much fun..but you won't have the headache of a long payment schedule where most of your payment goes towards interest and the object isn't worth nearly as much as you still owe on the loan in a few years.
I keep trying to tell my son that but he keeps falling into that trap. He wants a new car before the old one is paid for and ends up refinancing the old loan with the new one. He is really just working to pay the interest on something that isn't worth what he owes!
Who wants to work just to pay interest on all those loans..no wonder people never get ahead..
Snoozy..
EDITED to add..why is it underlining the word loan? Then when you click on it an ad for student loans comes up? WASSUP?OK..now that I have edited it the line went away...I'm so confused.

I worked in a bank...
Tellers usually keep track of who gets what.(Bills) They have ways to find out where their shortage is.They also have lots of cameras..
If you aren't contacted in a few days you are OK.the teller will just eat the shortage..they don't usually fire them that easily..but if they can show it was you they WILL deduct it from your account.
They also have cameras inside their ATMs..they can see who the next person was after that guy said he didn't get his money...and you would have received a call..
I remember someone loading the ATMs wrong one time (The manager) she put the 20's in the 10's slot and boy people were withdrawing right and left!..Of course we were able to get the money back by debiting their account or calling them.
My favorite crook was the one that would have an EMPTY envelope and make a fake deposit ( say $600.) with it to an account with maybe only $1. in it..then ask for a few hundred back. The machine would let them do that because they legally would have to have so much of the deposit made available right away. Of course their account would be debited the next day and taken into the negative and they would lose their ATM rights for at least a year
Honesty pays in the long run..darn it!

Guess what... someone hit my parked Mini Cooper AGAIN. :S
by Elsewhere inback in july of 2006 someone hit my parked mini cooper in a parking lot and then tried to say it was my fault... even though i wasn't even in the car.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/116712/1.ashx.
after laughing at the other driver, their insurance paid for my repairs.

My daughter has a Caddilac SUV and she took it to the dealer for maintenance work. She left it overnight in their lot and someone stole her 4 tires and wheels..it seems the dealer won't pay for them because they make you sigh a release releasing them of any responsibility before they work on the car !!! I couldn't believe she signed it. I would have refused service and went somewhere else. Preferably with a big fence around the service area and bobwire on top!
That's a lot of money!
And regarding your car being hit...again..it seems to work that way..when my car got hit I got it fixed and it was only a few weeks later it was hit again...the car was only a few months old.
A few years later it was hit AGAIN!..It seems Missouri has a no-fault law so they tried to say it was 5 percent my fault!..The stupid lady crossed 3 lanes of traffic to make a left turn. She plowed into my side ..The funny part was I was stopped in traffic..no where to go...and they still tried to say it was 5 percent my fault. I argued with my Ins. man untill he finally reached in his pocket and gave me the extra money.
I was still angry because they use that for an excuse to raise your premium even tho it is NOT your fault.
I am still with the same insurance but have a different agent..
Snoozy..
