  Mr. Flipper witnesses to Elder in Front of Store on Child Abuse Settlements

  hello folks .

  as other posters have mentioned , i feel , too , that this is something that needs to be kept in the forefront of practicing jehovah's witnesses minds , as they will never hear about these settlements from their elders or governing body.

  so , you folks know me well enough that i don't have a shy bone in my body , and if i see an opportunity i will take it.

  Quite a while back I taped a 20-20 on the child abuse in the WTBTS organization.. My JW-MIL wanted to see it..I was shocked but gave it to her. A few weeks later she gave it back and said she didn't believe it. She asked my JW hubby if he knew any child abusers in the org..and he said no!.Then she said she didn't know any either so it can't be true..I guess they think child abusers wear some sort of sign..

  Some people have their heads buried so deep in the sand they will never see the truth..

  Cloth Diapers

  so .. my husband and i are going to start trying for kids next year.

  we had a long discussion last night about disposable diapers vs. cloth diapers.

  i know this decision can wait but i just like talking about my expectations early rather than end up with conflict later on.. i want to use cloth diapers and he thinks disposables are the way to go.

  I used cloth in the 50's and 60's. Disposables were too expensive!

  I also had a wringer washer and no dryer! When it rained we had a utility room full of wet diapers...

  Then there was the time I stuck the diaper pin thru my baby sons skin ...........................................................He just stared at me and then let out the most blood curdling scream........................................ Me bad!

  A horrible scary thing happened to my daughter. You won't believe this

  my daughter was on her way to work last week and stopped for a milkshake at a fast food restaurant.

  they were caught on tape using the slop bucket they used for cleaning bathrooms etc.

  to empty out the milkshake machine while they cleaned it, and then pour the milkshake mix (in the contaminated slop bucket) back into the machine.. apparently there was also a group of kids from an after school program that had a party there that same day.

  Well I for one won't be stopping for my "Milkshake " anymore...
  I usually get them at Mcdonalds or Steak and shake.
  Think I will make my own from now on.

  I got deathly ill from Taco Bell one time.I firgure it was the sour cream. It hit hard and fast..I know it had to be food poisoning.

  Thanks for the warning..so sorry your daughter had to go through that..hope all turns out OK...and I didn't know how it could affect you down the road...scares you. I thought once you felt better all was well. SCARY!

  I remember a teen that had his appendix rupture..they were having trouble at the hospital regarding the blood issue. He was going to die..they shipped him off to Houston to the JW hospital there.They successfully operated on him with no blood..it was a miracle they said..he wasn't expected to live.

  He drowned a few years later on a float trip with the witnesses..I guess God took the miracle back..

  Found= Rose Ball's Bible Students group! Still going in Australia 2007!

  rose ball was russell's "step-daughter," his wife later claimed in divorce court, that russell had an "inapropriate" relationship with her.

  before this rose had married australia branch servant hennings and moved to melbourne...however.

  {yearbook 83 p.40-43} "in 1908 there was upheaval in australia {watch 1910} branch organiser hennings defected and carried the bulk of the melbourne class with him...brother russell apionted r. nicholson as branch servant.".

  Funny..we had a Rose Ball in our congregation ( in Missouri) in the 50's I believe she also died in the 50's or early 60's.

  She was quite popular in the congregation money wise...hummmmmm...

  I AM ILL AND SAD

  i'm off work today with a late summer cold.

  i hurt all over in places i never knew existed.

  i'm looking across the fields at trees that are just beginning to turn color, but my soul finds no delight in the view.. ah...but tomorrow comes.

  I hope you're feeling better now!

  Sometimes it's nice to have a small fever...makes you all warm inside and cozy..as long as it doesn't go too high.

  As far as the butterflies go...I too had the same experience taking dramamine for car sickness on a trip and nodoz to stay awake ..wild experience..scared the heck out of me! Can't believe I was so stupid!

  Snoozy..who loves chicken soup and tea and toast when she is sick..

  ps..You're supposed to take the garlic before you get sick..no one will get close to you.. the smell will overwhelm them..thus no germs..

  Cemeteries; They're not Just for Burying, Anymore.

  i live in a metropolitan area.

  crime is on a rampage in this city, in fact, we're #1 in the country as far as murders per capita statistic go.

  where does one go to find a safe outing for your morning jog, daily walk, or just to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city life?

  My grandson who just turned 17 took a girl from his school to a graveyard..they wanted to conjur up a "Spirit". It was quite funny..they took a lighter..some incense and flowers..they lit the incense and then chanted for some spirits to show up. They even took pictures of each other by gravestones..funny thing..the pictures have a funny mark in them...like a cloud or something..he really loved that, he thinks it is a ghost..

  So I guess that's the latest thing in things for teens to do. At least they aren't vandalizing. I believe they even got some kind of credit at school for writing about it.

  When I die..all the family graves will be forgotten. None of my kids seem interested in visiting them or seeing where they are.I have aunts, uncles,parents, grandparents,great grandparents, cousins..all will be forgotten.Sad isn't it..

  i watched a movie last night called the eye 2. it was about the buddhist belief in reincarnation.

  in the movie, souls wait for women to give birth in order to reincarnate into the baby.

  My heart goes out to you ..the pain of losing a child must be devastating. I know the pain of losing a husband and it was pretty bad..but the pain of losing a child...has to be the worst pain ever.

  I too wonder about death and what happens to that person.Right now I feel they just die and that is it.But something greater than we can know is going on and all we can do is hope there is more. We really don't know either way..I hope someday I will see my deceased loved ones again..that is all I can go on. Hope is all we really have. But just think with a universe like we have..there has to be something greater than we can understand. I am so sorry your family is going through so much pain..I always wished there was a pill to take the pain away..but time does make it easier to cope..the smiles start coming back to us remembering their smiles..their actions..certain things they did ..it's in our hearts and minds..

  They wouldn't want us to be unhappy..that would make them sad.(If they can see us)..just as we wouldn't want them to be sad if we had died.

  Again..my heart goes out to your and your family..
