  i guess they will begin with taking public's savings before they touch the big crooked banker's retirement fund - what a surprise that is..

  They hit the old and poor because they know they don't have the means to fight back..by doing this they are in effect teling the young people they will be on their own in the future..at least that's how I see it. By pooling it in a fund this way the government still has access to it. You would be better off starting your own retirement fund in your own name..

  Right now SS fund is mandatory for a employee to pay into. I wonder if it will be that way if they go to "Pension funds" for individuals also in the future?

  Taking it from Government workers is only the beginning...

  on the news the other day they showed a young man after graduating from high school went out and got drunk and had a bad car accident.

  he was paralyze from the waist down.

  instead of going into deep depression of what he did to himself he started his life over and went to college and was involved in inventing a exoskeleton for disable people.

  A polite way to ask someone to keep their hands to themselves...

  what's a polite way to ask a man to keep his hands to himself while conversing in a group with you?.

  this neighbor of mine and i were sitting in chairs on the deck with other people.. he always touched me whenever he said anything to me or i said anything to him.. it was as if he was using touch like an antenna to send and receive signals.. i didn't know what to do, so instead of risking embarrassment for us both, i did nothing but stand up and step away.. i stepped away after he attempted to caress my hamstrings on one leg.. *shudder*.

  wonder why 60+ year old men think that a woman being nice to him means she's hot for him.. also wonders why it's only the smoking, beer guzzling, scrawny, bony, and smelly old men who do that.. .

  Lack of take up of Advance Directive forms

  as some of you know, i am an elder in a southern england congregation.

  the britain branch ( policy letter dec 8th 2007) stopped all hlc brothers giving talks at other congregations and as a result the take-up of the advance directive form (ad) has dropped dramatically.

  jws are presenting themselves at hospitals without the form and nhs staff are phoning the hlc to ask that an elder visits to help them compose it while in hospital.. the uk branch is asking hlc members to meet up with bodies of elders so that we can "educate the brothers" (their expression) - we had our meeting a few weeks ago with a couple of the hlc brothers.

  I finally threw all of hubby's paperwork away this year. He died in 2003. I can't remember giving anyone a copy of his Advance Directive/blood forms. We did have them notorized though. A lot of good the papers did..the Drs and hospital never bothered to check them even tho they all had copies I had given them...(Drs and Hospital). I had to tell them each time someone new came in the room..they even came in one time to match his blood for a transfusion..

  I got a chuckle out of this statement...I am sure they said the same thing about borrowing from the SS fund..

  Geithner, who has already suspended a program that helps state and local government manage their finances, will begin to borrow from retirement funds for federal workers. The measure won’t have an impact on retirees because the Treasury is legally required to reimburse the program

  Is Shunning a Form of Bullying?

  if it were done by a group of children in school to another student the school would consider it a form of bullying.

  are dubs bullying other dubs when they do this?

  to me it seems like a form childish behavior that you would only expect to see in grade school..

  I saw Dr Phil is dealing with Bullies today and somehow connected it to the "Shunning" process done by the Jehovah's Witnesses..I can clearly see a resemblance..I am going to watch the show but I doubt they will mention anything about the JW's but I clearly see the link!

  I wonder if dealing with someone that thinks loud screaming and cussing to get their way or because they are angry is a form of bullying?
