dear friends:.
is it just disorientation, getting old...?.
i awoke this morning and really did not know where i was.
Medical treatment is centered on reducing as many risk factors as possible, such as quitting smoking, control of hypertension and diabetes, and reducing cholesterol. Patients may be prescribed antiplatelet medications (drugs that discourage plaque formation by preventing platelets from sticking together). Aspirin is by far the most commonly used antiplatelet drug. Other similar medications include clopidogrel (Plavix), ticopidine (Ticlid) and a combination of aspirin and dipyridamole (Aggrenox). Some patients may benefit from a combination of these drugs, depending on the presence of other medical conditions such as blocked arteries in the heart or legs. If a patient is determined to have an abnormal heart (such as a weak heart muscle) or rhythm disturbances (such as atrial fibrillation), they may need to use a blood thinner such as coumadin. In other patients, abnormal openings in the heart may allow clots to abnormally pass through to the brain. In such patients heart surgery may be able to reduce the risk of future TIA or stroke. If a patient is determined to have abnormal clotting of the blood (such as with some hereditary clotting disorders), they too may need coumadin or other blood thinners. Prevention of Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)One way to prevent TIAs is to adopt the same strategies that reduce the likelihood of stroke. By far, the most effective measure is to keep blood pressure controlled, since high blood pressure promotes atherosclerosis. Even borderline hypertension (130 to 139 mm Hg/85 to 89 mm Hg) increases risk of TIA and stroke.Recommendations include trying to:
Questions To Ask Your Doctor About Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)How serious is a TIA?Is there significant atherosclerosis? Is there a risk of a stroke? Will you prescribe an antihypertensive drug? Should aspirin be taken? What changes in lifestyle are necessary? Is surgery necessary? |
I would also, if they haven't already, have an ultra sound of your carotid neck arteries..if they are clogged it can cause TIA or a full blown stroke..better be safe than sorry.
Take care,

Flax is good! But remember that a TIA is just a warning sign so please find ways through Meds/diet and excercise to lower your blood pressure..learn all you can about controling it and make a health plan. If you smoke stop..limit/lay off any sweets as they raise tryglicerides which can raise blood pressure..
Your Doctor can do a complete blood workup to see just what all is affected by the high blood pressure and recommend ways to control it.
Take care..

demanding to see my dads will.and berating me for not having sealed his safety deposit box when he died.funny,he didnt have one.and his entire estate was bought by me,in cash 8 years ago..hahahahaha.guess i didnt think it was his business to know.im thinking that i should send a copy of this demand to the elders of the kingdom hall that he has brown nosing for 30+years,{and is still only a mike guy}.wonder oif they would like to know that he has been contacting a disfellowshipped apostate?he,my sister{his wife} and 2 of their sons showed up at court today to testify against me,that i have been harrassing me.havent talked to any of them since 12/10,but thy claimed constant harrassement.were all willing to swear to it.now, see why i hate jw"s?
ok all of you closet lurker elders, should i send a copy of this rude letter to the comittee?.
.
I worked in a bank and the bank keeps up on that. If they find a safty deposit box owner had died they automatically seal the box. They check daily! They someone from probate or a representative will have to get orders to allow access to the box. You wouldn't believe how many went unclaimed..
I remember one lawyer that I kept contacting about a box and he just couldn't be bothered with it. The person had a very large estate adn I guess he figured he worked hard enough or it wasn't worth his time..he just didn't care one way or another about the box..later when I had to inventory it there was so much valuable jewelry and other valuable investments we had to turn over to the state..this was a common occurance in the safty deposit area
And yet they are always running out of money..strange.
hey folks so i got this actual message to my youtube account i believe everyone would find really funny:.
tim,.
i had a visit today of some local jehovah's witnesses and one of them (i think his name was brandon west) said that he had met you in new york city.

If a dog owns you, have you also noticed that his/her vomit doesn't smell at all? That was a very strange discovery.
I noticed that if you aren't careful they WILL return to their vomit and eat it!...
Some even eat/play with poop..
And they say a dog's mouth is so clean..
Won't catch me letting them lick me on the mouth anymore!

if men could menstruateby gloria steinem.
a white minority of the world has spent centuries conning us into thinking that a white skin makes people superior - even though the only thing it really does is make the more subject to ultraviolet rays and to wrinkles.
male human beings have built whole cultures around the idea that penis envy is "natural" to women - though having such an unprotected organ might be said to make men vulnerable, and the power to give birth makes womb envy at least as logical.in short, the characteristics of the powerful, whatever they may be, are thought to be better than the characteristics of the powerless - and logic has nothing to do with it.what would happen, for instance, if suddenly, magically, men could menstruate and women could not?the answer is clear - menstruation would become an enviable, boast-worthy, masculine event:men would brag about how long and how much.boys would mark the onset of menses, that longed-for proof of manhood, with religious ritual and stag parties.congress would fund a national institute of dysmenorrhea to help stamp out monthly discomforts.sanitary supplies would be federally funded and free.
I expect the next thread is going to be "Can women pee standing up?"..

nearly a year ago my uncle was diagnosed with prostate cancer - he initially thought it was just a bladder infection and it took him passing out to go have more serious tests.
thus he received this news and shared it with us, his family.. the family rallied behind him and we all did everything we could to get him to his treatments, make sure he ate properly and supported him.
my cousins came out from the uk when it looked like he was going to die in a couple of days.
I'm so sorry to hear that Lou Belle...my FIL thought they had caught it all when he had his operation to remove the prostate but it reared it's ugly head again..they said he didn't need Chemo but I think he took radiation. When it later came back it went into bone cancer and he had a lot of pain..my mil had a hard time caring for him, We would go up on weekends but I am sure she could have used more help during the week..They were JW's and the JW's would stop to visit him but no one offered to stay with him while she went out for a while..she eventually had to quit the meetings and someone would tape them for her. It took about 2 years for him to die..
We have all been touched by illness and death and it's no wonder we flocked to the promise of the JW's to someday once again we can see our loved ones..lets hope they are right about that one..there's always hope..
Big hug..Snoozy
