my daughter is getting married soon and she has "no kids to my wedding" policy as we plainly cannot afford it.
everyone out of the truth seems to understands this and no complaints but my abnoxious proud and pig headed brother in law can't take no for an answer as he thinks his young son is sooooooo special he needs to attend.
he called up yesterday and gave her an earfull on how his son is sooo good and her first cousin that it's sooo wrong to have him there, she came home crying.
I bet there will be some that bring their kids anyway, insisting surely they didn't mean my kids...lol

i'm a loner.. offline, i have few friends.
the friends i do have are dear to me but i'm bad at communicating with them, meaning i don't call often.
facebook has been a boom with me cuz i can keep contact with folks i really care about without being constantly in contact with them which would drive me crazy.. on this board i haven't got too deep with folks.
jesus christ, what is the point of this post and who cares.

Sometimes I am a pain in the a** talker...lol

these are some things i have been thinking about .
.. when i first found this site i registered immediately ... never was a "lurker" ... and i've been here about six months.. everyone was very warm welcoming and i felt at home very quickly ... very pleasant at the time, but as time has progressed i look back and feel a bit "love-bombed" ... much like a religion i used to belong to.. i have found that this site is a bit "cliquey" ... groups of posters frequent at similar times and enjoy their familiarity with each other and that's great ... but they also sometimes exhibit a coolness toward those outside their clique ... almost as if your 'post count' is the first thing by which you are "judged" ... much like a religion i used to belong to.
some posters develop a personal dislike for others and not only jump on their threads but even deliver the odd "slap" on unrelated threads to increase the discomfort for the object of their dislike ... not unlike a religion i once belonged to.. some posters even follow others around the board looking to counter or use snide or clever put downs at every opportunity ... a kind of intellectual "rivalry" that was common to those in that religion i used to belong to.. many posters like to use 'in-house' jargon and labels eg; "newbies" for those recently joined.
I'm a clique of one...seriously.
That's funny!
But I understand why some would leave right away. The longer we stay on here the more accustomed we become to abuse. .
I felt the same way when I started posting on Tim's old beyond board..a few welcomed me but a certain select few decided I must be a "Troll" or something and made me miserable..I felt like it was their territory and outsiders were not welcomed. But I stuck around anyway..I was going through a lot with my JW hubby and family and I had quit going to the KH..I needed some support. Thanks to the "good " ones on the board I made it. I picked out the ones with good advice and ignored the ones that didn't. A lot of good links were given to me and advice. Some don't need that as they have no relatives left in the org and can just walk away no problems..others need the support when leaving as I did.
I wish them well..

ever since i've started posting here regularly, there has been upheaval, threats of leaving and threats of banning by many active contributors.
people have spoken their minds and have been chastised; people have attacked others and threads have been locked.. well, after reading my bible, i've determined the cause of all this.
mr. falcon.
I don't think I would know about all the turmoil if it weren't for posts like this... Maybe I am just picking the right threads to read..
Snoozy..
japan plans to dump 11,500 tons of radioactive water at sea.. .

tokyo: japan plans to dump 11,500 tons of radioactive water at sea to free up storage space for more highly contaminated water at its crippled nuclear plant, the plant's operator said on monday.. .
It would be funny if all the horror movies actually came true..flesh eating zombies. Monsters. I wouldn't be surprised to see three legged children running around in about 30 years..
All scientists are smart, doesn't mean they always speak the truth! Pressure to hush up = more money for their experiments.

ok...i just don't understand this.
i am getting married in a few months and i thought this would be the happiest part of my life.
right now it is the most agonizing!
Their mentality " to see how close he can come to apostate acts without oversteppig the line". Hilarious!
My JW hubby and his JW family came to each of our daughter's church (One catholic)weddings and my hubby even gave his daughters away..he did however decide that he couldn't/shouldn't attend the religious wedding at my daughter's second wedding. Neither him nor his family came. Go figure..all of a sudden it is a crime?Oh yeah, new light..created to fit their wishes on the subject.
A true Christian could not conscientiously join or participate in any prayers or religious exercises that he knew to be contrary to Bible teaching. Nor is he interested to see how close he can come to apostate acts without overstepping the line
I couldn't watch that thing twice...

i've been looking for info on the latest month it has snowed in missouri.
i haven't found it yet but did find this... i remember back then and we didn't have air conditioning!...
july 14. hottest temperature recorded: 113.4snoozy.
Snow has been known to fall in Missouri as early as October, and as late as May. However, most of it falls in December, January, and February. As one would expect, the northern counties usually get the most snow. North of the Missouri River the winter snowfall averages 18 to 24 inches
So we can still get some snow up to May..
