It depends on the group. In one cong I was in they all loved my urban cowboy look. From the top of my hat to the end of my boots, even had a matching six gun rig. Then, a new CO came in an the lecture as to what is Theocratic dress or not. I can see if I wore my six gun. But the rest looked good. I did what I wanted.

When was your last Kingdom Hall meeting?

i stopped going to kingdom hall meetings about nine years ago.

i was fading for the longest time, refused to go out in field service, dropped out of the ministry school talks, no longer answered at the watchtower study, arrived at the meetings the last second, and left as soon as possible.

i couldn't take attending the meetings any longer.

Overrated

After years of putting up with the demands of elders, self righteous people wanting favors for cheap. All the gossip. At age of 28 I walked out and never came back. An elder made contact with me to come back, but I told him " I'm too broke to be a Jw". He didn't have much to say after that.

What JW Subjects Interest You The Most On This Site? What Doesn’t??

i like subjects that delve into the history of the religion and proofs that the witnesses are not the true religion.

i’m not so much into apologists saying we need to go to meetings, especially if the poster looks like a scammer trying to get ex jws going.

Overrated

Talking about Jw and Watchtower World is a reminder of how easy we can get sucked into or held hostage to a delusion. We hope our family and friends that are still asleep by this fairytale wake up to the fact that it is all a fraud for control and for sure money. Is comical their stuff they put out in which we use to believe.

Anyone here take any chance you get to tell others how dangers the cult is?

i know i have made some uncomfortable at times and others have thanked me for telling them about the cult because some family member is one and they thought it was a bad cult but did not know details.

personally i take every chance i get to tell others about the cult.

Overrated

I was in a laundry mat and saw two JW's drop Watchtower 's on different location inside the place. I followed them and picked up their "trash" and put in the trash. The owner of the laundry mat thanked me.

I stay quiet. I let facts do the talking. People need to find their path on their own.

Overrated

After my divorce, I moved back with my parents, who insisted that Ineed to get busy with the Gee-hovah thing. After meeting with the elders ( mistake to go them for anything) I was told that I can't remarry anyone because my divorce was not legal in God's eyes( Watchtower 's) even if my divorce is legal by the land. On top of that, I started to take classes, but some crying elder didn't like that. My parents where forced, I was forced to either go to meetings or find my own place to live. Walked out of the tooth, my parent's life after that. I'm happly remarried and free from Watchtower.
