The race for life related to running
by BourneIdentity inif you were running a 5k race, what would it mean to you if someone said the end is around the corner, keep running the race, don’t give up!.
you would literally believe it was around the next corner, wouldn’t you?
when it wasn’t, you’d start questioning if you heard them correctly.

i'm 17 right now so you'd figure oh only one more year until you can leave.

Pioneers privilige
by justice34 inorganization and congregation seems to give so much attention to the pioneers and the hours.
encouraging the members to get even the 30h at the month of c/o visit even if they don't complete the minimum of the hours.
why do they give so much praise and attention to pioneers?

I Pioneered for a month. Just not worth it and a big waste of time. In fact the whole JW thing is one big waste of time that only a small few benefit from.

just wondering, with all these zoom meetings and cancelled assemblies, just how the financial contribution system works in 2020?.
i obviously am wondering if it will have a huge impact on the wt org.. can someone kindly summarise how contributions are managed nowadays, both officially and anecdotally in kh's.. i was last attending around 2004, where there were x2 contribution boxes, the world wide work and kh fund.

2020 Annual Meeting of JW's

Is it because of Pride or Loyalty?
by joey jojo inin a recent effort to entice me back to meetings, an elder friend gave me the example of his dad.. he said that his pioneer/elder/ex-missionary dad went through the anticipation and disappointment of 1975 and yet, he kept going faithfully for decades afterwards.
the obvious point was that, if his dad can deal with disappointment, then, surely a nobody like me could do the same in regards to the scrapping of the 1914 generation doctrine, and all the other changes.
his 'encouragement' was to tell me that it was only me that felt like this, everyone else is fine and have no problems with the changes.

Once one develops critical thinking and asks the questions then, you come to the conclusion that your intelligence has been insulted. Which opens a huge box of questions. Watchtower can't or will not answer. Can no longer view them as credible.
