  Do local JWs want in-person meetings back in your congregation?

  i realize many here think that in-person meetings will return as soon as things are safe with covid.

  but many acknowledge it will likely be 2022 or later when this happens.. surprisingly, many pimi jws in our congregation are not shy about saying they are fine with zoom meetings forever and do not want to go back to in-person meetings.

  many speculate similar thoughts that are on this site....such as a combination of in-person and zoom meetings.

  As I told my brother who zooms. Just take a picture of yourself in your meeting clothes. Put in front of the camera. Then go do what you want.

  The Bible and its use of excesses beggars belief ?

  how many accounts of the bibles use of excesses can you recall ?

  i will start off with a favourit of mine.. the inauguration of solomons temple and the sacrifices offered .2chron.7 :4-5 , 22,000 cattle and 120,000 sheep ?

  What can you expect from people that herd sheep and goats all day and all night, you get alot of bullshit. And more and likely they smoked some wacky weed while writing the bible.

  What is your status (as of today) as a Jehovah's Witness?

  active believer...still attend meetings, go out in field service, believe it's ''the truth''.

  active non-believer... go to meetings and field service to please family... living a double life .

  inactive believer...don't attend meetings but believe it's the truth, one day might go back to kingdom hall.

  I'm #4. Not going to any church. Worked to help Watchtower crash and burn. Hope in my lifetime.

  Awake Magazine - No Longer Being Printed?

  someone made reference in another post that the awake magazine had ceased publication.

  maybe i missed it since i have not been on here as much in the last 6 months.

  is this true?

  Overrated

  The most circulated, most popular magazine has now faded into the sunset. I thought they said that reading the Watchtower and Awake is equivalent to a college education. In what degree of study is not clear, but close to clown college or use car salesman.

  If it sounds too good to be true it may not be. That's Watchtower 's little world. Beside I would not want to live forever with these self-righteous, self-centered pricks anyway. It is better to rule in hell then serve these pricks in a "paradise ".

  Yes I somewhat feel sorry for JW'S. But those who hate me for not believing Watchtower crap and say that I'm the seed of the devil because I woke up. I have no pity.

  so, in a couple weeks, the jws move on in their bible-reading slog to the book of deuteronomy.. take a gander at deuteronomy 23:12,13:.

  a private place should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go.

  13 a peg should be part of your equipment.

  Double Speak from last night's CLAM

  now that there are no meetings to physically attend, i am in a position where i listen in to my wife's zoom calls.

  i thought some of the ideas in last week's clam were a bit strange, for instance they harped on about being 'friendly' to non-jws but not to become 'friends' with them.

  the poignant question being put to the audience; 'what is the difference between being friendly to an unbeliever and being his friend?'.

  JW's will be a friend as long as you agree with their crap. But as soon as you point out the holes in their crap. They are no longer so friendly. Some will walk away and you will never see them again. Others will argue their point.
