I also have a nostril piercing and 2 tattoos, one behind each shoulder, not visible at all under clothing. My left nostril sports a small diamond stud, not too small but not too obvious either. I am having difficulty removing my nostril piercing on my own, looks like I'll have to make a trip to the studio for this unless someone here can provide a suggestion on how to take this out.

Annoying trend in TV commercials...
by Gregor inhave you noticed how it seems that the tactic of making commercials deliberately annoying is becoming popular?
i'm sure you can think of a commercial or two that quickly becomes like fingernails on a chalkboard.
that is why they are produced and repeated over and over, they accomplish the purpose of getting your attention and causing you to remember them.

How do you reassure sincere JWs who miss you?
by compound complex intry to avoid truthful phrases like "freaky mind-control cult".
they don't like that sort of thing.. my main concern is the kids.
if i have to hurt people's feelings to protect my kids, then that's what i gotta do.. but i understand what you're saying.

I hug them, I tell them how nice of he or she to think about me, I offer my phone number, home and email address and invite them out for lunch or for a home cooked meal in my home.
I'm still waiting for a call.......I wonder why noone has taken any of the kind offers?

I totally lost it with my uncle today

he claims to have never taught that armageddon would come before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away.

I know how this feels I did the same thing to my mother once a couple of years ago when after spending my birthday at a broadway show and having lunch she calls a couple of days later to tell me she made a huge mistake by doing so. I wondered, how much mental gymnastics did she have to perform in order to make that phone call in the first place? Why would she even feel compelled to call me if going out for lunch didn't bother her the week before? If that's not proof that the JWs are absolutely a cult I don't know what is.

Did you grow up with a JW mother and non-JW father also? My childhood/adolescence were the saddest years of my life because of this.
I hated how my mother used me and tried to get me to hate my father.
I also hated how my father didn't have the chutzpah to stand up to my mother when she obviously went overboard with her fanaticism.

Funny/strange things you ate as a kid.

we had an old dry tank dump in the back that filled up with water.
there were tons of frogs that showed up and started breeding.. i was looking at them on the edge of the water through my .22 scope.

10 Years!!
by Soledad inthis month marks 10 years since i sent in an "estimados hermanos" letter to my local kingdom hall, telling them to leave me the *&&^ alone.
10 years of freedom from the cult!!.

This month marks 10 years since I sent in an "estimados hermanos" letter to my local kingdom hall, telling them to leave me the *&&^ alone. 10 years of freedom from the cult!!
I've been criticized a lot in the past for writing the letter and playing "their game." But I tell you what, there has never been a single day of regret in this past decade. Never, not even once! I was so happy to slam that book down and shut it tight, lock it up and throw away the key!
A lot of crap has happened to me during this time, it hasn't all been peachy. There are still some things, believe it or not, that I have to yet overcome. Being born in a cult can really mess you up in the head......
Simultaneously, I am putting an end to a 7 year hellish marriage. Another chapter in my life that is now closing. It seems that every year that ends in an 8 brings on some big changes for me: I was baptized in 88, DAd in 98, and now divorced in 08!
The journey has been incredible and I feel that the best is yet to come!!
bring on 2018!! looking forward to it
