it worries me when i hear of governments discussing jws in their countries with the thoughts of banning them!
i disagree with banning them.
they are a determined people who will suffer greatly for their fanaticism, i think they should be closely monitored but not banned.
Im very sure that nothing would make them happier than to be "persecuted." It would be the absolute culmination of their prophesies and an affirmation of their status as god's chosen.
I say don't ban, but they should be closely closely scrutinized by local officials as far as the pedophilia and tax evasion.
ok....we all had them...perhaps we were one of them....stereotypical witnesses.
there were many stereotypes that proved to be in congregation after congregation.
what stereotypical witnesses do you remember.

every new illness that the awake publishes articles on, this sister has had it for several years already.
she is so grateful to the FDS for publishing such "fine, well researched articles." she has been to
numerous doctors and specialists, she has been taking "natural" home remedies to no avail. But she
has faith that jehovah will provide. she is so anxiously awaiting the new systems of things were she can
enjoy perfect health. at least that what she says to others. upon further scrutinizing the situation many
people know that her illnesses are just excuses for not going out in field service, or for missing
meetings. the meetings that she do attend are spent in the very last row of the hall or in the lounge area
either in or near the ladies room.
those of you that know me well know that i'm not going to say anything or much of anything anymore in this forum.. .
however, i will be offering much of my music instead.
i won't be posting it here anymore.

there are so many things that you can't do if you are one of jehovah's witnesses.
for example, you can't salute the flag or stand for the national anthem.
can you think of different things you can't do if you're a witness??
you can't think independently
you can't cause others to think independently
you can't act independently
you can't suggest independence outside of the organization
you can't make an important decision independently
you can't associate with others who think,act and decide independently of the Watchtower
In short, you just can't be independent!!

it's like a big collective sigh of relief IMO.
our two eldest sons and their wives went to las vegas for the week today.
i have the 2 year old son of one son and the 14 year old daughter of the other son, for the week (until friday).
the girl (carlie) is an absolute dream, so helpful and has a great personality, but she goes to school everyday.

things have calmed down again with my mother to the point where i found myself once again in her kitchen last night.
drinking too many cups of coffee as i always do at her house, i imagine if i were a smoker i'd have been lighting one cigarette after another instead.
it had been a pleasant enough evening, i sat there with my crocheting in my lap, something i always take with me to my mother's house so that if i get nervous or stressed out, my hands, and my mind, have something to do and somewhere to go.

Shutterbug is right on. Personally, being a native busy-body New Yorker I'm known for not keeping my
mouth shut when I really should, so I make an everyday big old effort to not let things escalate when in a
confrontational situation. It may kill me in the heat of the moment to just look away or to just STFU, but
at least later on I don't feel any remorse or regret for not having exercised self-control. BTW I never take
myself very seriously at all. The older I get the more immature and silly!
