JT,
First of all, let me say that it's good to see you!
I see that the WT CONSTANTLY doublespeaks. Have you ever read a "Question From Readers" and by the time you're finished reading the Wt's answer to the question, you STILL don't know what the answer to the question is! If the reader is looking for a Yes or No answer, they never get one. They don't know if what they are asking is "wrong for a true Christian" is wrong or right STILL. I remember reading one where a female writer wanted to know if it would be scriptually wrong for her to leave her abusive husband. By the time I finished reading the answer, if I were a JW female in that situation, I still would not know if it was right or wrong, because the answer was BOTH. It was wrong, and it was right. Go figure! Maybe the WT's motive is to keep their followers in a constant state of confusion so that they CANNOT make any decisions either way for themselves, or their families. If they are confused, then they feel safer not making a decision at all, for fear it'll be the wrong one.
And as for the doublespeak the WT told the media on it's media site, that you quoted from, I SEE it CLEARLY. I have to get a kick out of what they said right after they judged others by stating that they believe that anyone who died before the JW sect was started will be brought back to life and given a chance to join the sect in order to be saved. And that anyone who will hurry up and join the JW sect before the end comes will be saved. In other words : "YES. We believe that ONLY JWs will be saved!" RIGHT after the WT explained this in their DOUBLE SPEAK, they had to play it safe and say this"
Moreover, Jesus said that we should not be judging one another. We look at the outward appearance; God looks at the heart. He sees accurately and judges mercifully.
If they only look for outward appearance and do not judge the hearts of others, then they would not have said what they did preceeding it.
peace,
somebody
