  Hubby has Cancer.........

  and my heart is breaking!..we just had it confirmed today.

  he has 9 months to live so they say.

  among all the heartbreak and pain he is crying and begging me to go to the kingdom hall with him.

  And I would go to the meetings if that is his wish too. you'll know you are going for support and love for him, so I'd say to follow your heart right now.

  "They streamed across the bridge to Brookl...

  the history channel had a spt.

  11 show on last night, and most of it was the same ol' same ol'---but something did catch my attention.. video was being shown of people evacuating lower manhattan, and the brooklyn bridge was filled to capacity with people.. the voice over says, "people fled every way they could--they streamed across the bridge to brooklyn.".

  now, i'm wondering, if you had just left ground zero and you were one of the ones runningon the bridge--and you saw a big sign that said--.

  I remember reading what a JW wrote on the dateline discussion board after they aired the show on pedophiles being protected by the WBTS's "aggressive policy". One JW male typed out that none of it was true and they are the most loving people on the earth and added in the "we were the first on the scene of the 9/11" he even said for anyone who didn't believe that, then feel free to visit any kindom hall and to see for themselves. Which is what harold and I did. We taped the loving instruction on how to treat relatives as if they were decivers and the antichrist, as you know.

  Anyway...What he meant by "we were the first on the scene of the 9/11", I can't say. I can only surmise. He never said what "they" did. He just said they were the first on the scene.

  And of course it doesn't help teens when they read this kind of thing:

  km 10/87 1 Help Others to Dedication and Baptism *** 5 Help your Bible students see that Jehovahs laws and principles are for our good. They must realize that if they wait until the last minute to take a stand for true worship, they could lose out on the prize of life. (Luke 21:34, 35)

  A teen would think this in their minds.... "Do it or die"

  What a nice choice that is, eh?

  I got baptized when I was about 16. I did it because of that kind of pressure. Not because I wanted to dedicate my life to God. I didn't know jack squat about my life or even life itself at that age. I can understand why Jesus got baptized at mature age.

  The first is:
  On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?

  
  The second is:
  Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovahs Witnesses in association with Gods spirit-directed organization?

  Notice that WBTS do not follow what jesus said in Matthew baptize in the name of the Holy Spirit. They have taken out Gods Holy Spirit and replaced it with the spirit of their own man made organization, and call it the Gods organization. And they baptize their followers in the name of it. Why do they do this? Because they believe that only the anointed should have the privilege of being baptized in the Holy Spirit. Which And obviously, they don't batize any anointed anymore. I'm assuming that because of the change in the questions since the 80s.

  This is how they attempt to justify not obeying the authority of Jesus when he said:

  Matthew 28:18,19

  18 And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,

  Here is there reasoning for baptizing there followers in the name of themselves:

  From the Reasoning From the Scriptures book:

  Who is baptized with holy spirit?

  1 Cor. 1:2; 12:13, 27: To you who have been sanctified in union with Christ Jesus, called to be holyones . . . For truly by one spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink one spirit. Now you are Christs body. (As Daniel 7:13, 14, 27 shows, such holy ones share in the Kingdom with the Son of man, Jesus Christ.)

  John 3:5: Unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (A person is born from spirit at the time of his baptism with that spirit. Luke 12:32 shows that only a little flock have that privilege. See also Revelation 14:1-3.)

  And to anyone contemplating dedicating their lives to the WBTS organization, I give you these scriptures to read:

  1 Corinthians 1:12-15

  12 What I mean is this, that each one of YOU says: I belong to Paul, But I to Apol'los, But I to Ce'phas, But I to Christ. 13 The Christ exists divided. Paul was not impaled for YOU , was he? Or were YOU baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I am thankful I baptized none of YOU except Cris'pus and Ga'ius, 15 so that no one may say that YOU were baptized in my name.

  And I ask you to ask yourselves these questions.

  None in the WBTS organization was impaled for you, was he? Are you going to get baptized in the name of this organization instead of the Holy Spirit? Or even get baptized in association with it instead of the Holy Spirit?

  I beg of you to research before you dedicate you life to a printing company. Read your Bible and then compare it to the published material that the publishing company that you are about to become a baptized publisher for, instead of a baptized disciple of Jesus Christ.

  I truly wish you and Mulan to enjoy your trip and vacation. I hope your whole family does!

  Just in case mulan doesn't read this, please pass on that she is a beautiful person just like the daughter she raised. :-) And that I often think about the best friend she had and what a blessing Sharon was and still is in her life. I think about her and Sharon's relationship alot, and envy her for having such a friend in her life. I bet your mom is happy for you if you have a true soulmate/friend as she had the opportunity to have and hold. And if you do..then I envy you too!

  Happy vacation to two wonderful people!

  Relax, cut loose ( but not too loose.. ) and enjpy this time together.

  gwen and i went on a mission .

  going in as a couple of "interested ones"...into a kh that i was reasonably sure i wouldn't be recongnized as the "uadna-ri" i went in with a hidden wire and tape recorder to get the "evidence".

  on this site you will find links to 4 audio files... the first two are "the part", and the other two files are an audio clip of the "love bombing" attack we got when we left the first meeting, and the reading of a letter to "all congregations" concerning the discontinuation of subscriptions.. as with all jw things, it is interesting to hear the comments made by the speaker, things not written in the km, and views, attitudes, and references made when speaking of how to treat disfellowshipped family members.. all in all, i am glad we went on this misssion.

  I said the same thing to zev. I could not help but to notice that the "brother" tried to emphasize that. I find it strange also that gift subscriptions for those who got one for their df'd relatives every year cannot go and personaly deliver the mags now either. They have to write the branch office and they will have "someone" call on or deliver your relative. What sense does that make! You can't do it because it's YOUR family member, but someone else can? In my opinion, that is to keep the family ties as severed as they possibly can. It obvoisly has NOTHING to do with "keeping the congragation clean". It makes me sick. These two meeting were the first I've attended in 23 years. I felt like a dog returning to it's own vomit ( that was me coughing and clearing my throat to try to stifle the gag reflex of trying to swallow the vomit I was being fed ), but it was well worth eating. I got sick of JWs in a certain chat telling me I was a liar and an apostate when they were telling others in the chat that it is NO TRUE that JWs have to stop talking to there own family members who are df'd. That they can as long as it isn't about anything spiritual. This JW woman in the chat said " My sister-in-law is df'd and I talk to her ALL THE TIME!", after calling me a liar.

  I was sickend by the examples they used to give "permission" for anyone who has a df'd or da'd relative to see them. If there is a death, or a will to be read. How nice, eh? And so freekin loving!

  You know what really irks me!!!

  my husband's sister is shunning us, mind you we have not been df'd...we just stopped attending meetings and my husband told his mom and sister he doesn't believe it is the truth.

  that is not what irks me, that is to be expected i guess.

  what just irks the heck out of me is that she sent my father in law over (he is not a witness) over our house with her car and asked my husband to change her oil and also put in a new water pump.

  She can't talk to us, but has no problem asking my husband on his days off from work (he works around 50-60 hours a week) if he would work on her car.

  This does not surprize me at all. Jws will take fractions of "worldy" peoples blood, but not donate any of their own so that "wordly" people can use fractions of it.

  JWs will also not become police officers to help protect "wordly" people, but will call on the police when they are in danger. I could go on and on and on about how they view "worldly" people, but yet USE "wordly" people when their services will be of benefit to themselves.

  Like the Bible says.." You will know them by their "fruits".

  Your husband is a Christian. Jws are not. That's my opinion.

  each successor to the watchtower estate from rutherford onward has virtually reformed the organization.. rutherford was an attorney for the society and court judge.

  like modern-day reformers he didn't like the direction the watchtower was going, and staged a corporate takeover.

  chaos reigned at bethel when the brothers split into two religions.

  And the thought that another attorney[s] may be in the wings waiting to take over (like JFR in days gone by) seems more than just likely. The next GB will probably be a group of "anointed" attorneys running the show, who are probably already being "groomed" [or grooming themselves] for the "job."

  I hope you hold onto that thougth. Copy it and past it and save it. You may hold the future accurate knowledge! ( not to be confused with past,present, or future truth) ;) I KNOW that the next group will find a scripture to justify their being spirit appointed. Perhaps they will teach that Jesus had a third invisible coming and told them to hog this life saving message for themselves, by disguising it as an icorporated printing factory.

  Don't laugh....there will always be a group of people who would believe it.
