  jws were very eager about world events peace and security: the worldwide pronouncement of peace and security has been a prophetic mantra of the jw religion since before i became associated in 1968. and now, at long last, it was finally upon us!

  Why I think the Borg will have another enemy soon.

  there is that old story i'm reminded of sometimes about the world being full of three types of people.

  the people who make things happen, the people who watch things happen, and the people who have no idea of what is going on.

  i thought you might want to at least be in the second catagory so i wanted to share something i found interesting with you.. i have two short poems and a short story for you to read below, and if you care to read these you might find something quite remarkable about them.. long years have passed.

  what if i meet someone from school?.

  from the awake, feb 22 2002. sorry, if it seems rather late in coming, but after only 7 weeks,.

  it was a normal part of my life, and what wasn't normal was having it stay with me throughout my adulthood.. till now now i tell people, i'm an ex jw.

  Physical Appearance since leaving the JW's

  i was never baptised when i attended the kingdom hall so i went to the meetings with sholder length hair (with my jw parents).

  one time i had been approached by the elders concerning this matter.

  they asked me if i planned to cut my hair and progress in the truth and get baptised.

  Did you REALLY believe Armaggedon was coming?

  did you ever really believe armaggedon was just about to happen?.

  maybe to such a degree that you were scared or made major changes in your life?.

  i'm not old enought to remmeber 1975 but with the gulf war a lot of people got scared and believed the end was coming ( including me).. werent we doing the revelation book at the time?.

  i was about 16 at the time.i can't remember what i did wrong; of course every thing i did was wrong at that time according to my parents.

  i think i was caught riding a neighbor kids skateboard.. any way,i believe the punishment was to get my ass beat or get locked out of the house.

  a week before my dad was comming home from work and caught me doing the same thing; he jumped out of the truck and violently threw me in it {the truck} then proceeded to elbow me in the nose which sent my head into the back window and caused my nose to bleed!

So I chose to stay out side this time;until it got cold , then I tried to get into the house, at which point some how the police showed up!I tried explaining my story to the cops and asking for help. theydidn't seemm to know how to help and proceeded to explain to me that I was a minor and that my dad leaglly had to let me in the house. AT this point my dad was pounding his fist into his hand;Iknew what that meant;so I started to plea with the cops not to let this happen to me. They acted as if there was nothing they could do and told me I should just go home; I then asked them to just put me in jail so I didn't have to get my ass beat. They said they had no reason to do so; So I started calling them names{stupid F'ing pigs ect..}hoping they would haul me off. Still nothing, So I ran out into the street{mind you I didn't want to do any thing violent to put me in jail for a long time just looking for rufuge from the abuse I was suffering and would have suffered};so any way ran into the street got their attention again{calling them names}and mooned them that got me shelter for the evening and got me out of THAT nights ass wooping.
  Damn I wish I could have had a normal life!

  TES! actually right up until a week ago ;when I found this and other websites pertaining to the matter.
  I actually was looking for what the WTBS had to say about Sept 11th and of course came acrossed this and other sites.

  Darn Smurfs

  any one remember the smurfs; especially that evil papa smurf?.

  the cong i attended even gave a talk about their evilness.. roumor was one even animated itself [little plastic figure] inside the k-hall.. this led to my sister having to get rid of her smurf collection.. i'd have to say though at that time it made me happy ;being she .

  got 2-3 new smurfs every week, and they woldn't even ever buy me a hotwheels car
