To me, critical mass is when something has reached large enough proportions to actually have momentum.

since leaving the jws reality can be hard to get used to these are somethings i found hard to adapt to:.
1) starting to celebrate celebrations like birthdays and christmas(i dont mean that christmas is a disadvantage its just getting used to the whole idea).
2) tell others im not a jw because all i used to do is try to convert them and now im telling them i was mislead and dont beleive it anymore.. 3) should i swear,lie,etc.
I certainly don't miss going to the meetings, assemblies, and everything else. I have held on to most of my values, i.e. telling the truth, not swearing too much, etc. The thing I miss the most, though, is that it's a little harder to make "instant" friends. You have to find people who have common interests. There no longer is the "instant comradery" you find at the hall and assemblies, etc.

Surprise - Tamyra got booted. America has the collective memory of one episode! Yes, she did poorly last Tuesday night, and Nikki did surprisingly well. However, I am totally shocked that Nikki gets to stay and Tamyra had to go home! :(

Funny how the talk titles don't seem to have differed all that much over the years.
Observations:
Until 1973 there was a morning, afternoon, and evening session - going all the way until 9:00 at night! There were five days, although day 1 started in the afternoon (no morning session) and day 5 ended in the afternoon (no evening session).
They used to go out in service just about each morning after a brief session until 1973.
well well....how wonderful it is to see people taking potshots at one another, to see a group of people who could be supporting and helping one another instead turn to infighting and slagging.
i'm disgusted by it all, i really am.
in the last year or so that i've been online, i thought that i had made some real friends, i thought that it was possible to really get to know people thru this modern miracle of technology.
I agree with all of you ... as a prime lurker, I have at times walked away feeling "dirty" from reading some of this garbage by a few troublemakers.
I think these troublemakers need a good chill pill and then take a reality check. This is a free service provided to you -- a place to meet and greet and share ideas, have intellectual exchange as well as trivial banter.
You're not paying anything for this. So you shouldn't complain. You don't have any "rights."
On the other hand, if you were paying for this service, then you could complain about it and try to effect changes.
This is the bottom line as far as I see it.

In the US I had not heard about this either. There have been three or four child abductions in the last two weeks here that have received a lot of media attention. I'm sorry to hear the girls were found murdered. How terrible!
