This is a Black African, Nayabingi, who is dissappointed with African American misplaced concern and passion for Arabs. He is reacting to the issue of Slavery currently practiced in Arabia. He is angered because it is his people who are being enslaved yet African Americans seem to be oblivious to whats going on.

What the brothers are discussing here is not yesterdays event, but these are events that are occuring right now as we speak. Yes we need to deal with the problems facing the black community like you said, but we also have to deal with problems happening in the motherland[Africa]. In my home country of Sudan, the Arabs have taken to murder and genocide of our people(Africans). 2 million of our people are killed by the Arabs and more of my relatives are daying day in and day out, yet you don't hear of the outrage not even in the media. Our women are being raped, the children killed and the men taken into slavery and sold in markets right now.

That is why the brothers such in this forum and others are mad and outraged. Even if we completely solve the problems facing African Americans, the image of the black man whether in America, Europe or anywhere in the World will be tarnished if the Arabs continue to kill and enslave Africans in Sudan, Mauritania, Morocco, Egypt and many Northerm African countries. The image of African Americans will be tarnished if we continue to see pictures of Africans starving on TV.

What amazes me is to see the outcry over IsraelAlgedly massacring 200 Palestinians in Jenin, but no word when 2 million of my people are killed by people who you share your Islamic religion with. It is O.K for them to kill Africans, but when a couple of Palestinians are killed, then all hell brakes loose in the World. This is indeed sickening and shows that the lives of black people in my country of Sudan is not valued. six (6) hours ago the Arab Islamic Government of Sudan raided and completely destroyed 3 villages in Southern Sudan with Helicopter gunships. 6 hours ago man. They burn innocent black men, women and children alive in their houses. From reports I got they killed thousands just today. Tell me Hassan where is the justice. I am a fighter, and I have fought the arabs on many occasions. Instead of them confronting us who carry guns, they go and raid our defenseless villagers. I have 6 gunshot wounds in my body in battle, and the soil of my land is soiled with my blood. Even though I am here in the west, I still go back from time to time to lend support to our brave fighter who will not bow to no man but God. I have brothers and relatives who fought the arabs and died in war like men. We don't have nobody supporting us but so far we have put up considereable resistance. The government of Sudan is supported by the whole Arab World. In 1999 they drop chemical weapons on our villages. Where was the outcry Hassan. Even the UN kept quite.

I believe the people of Southern Sudan and the Nuba mountains are the bravest Africans to ever walk this earth. We have fought the Arabs since the 15th century and still we are strong. The majority of our people(92%) kept their original African names and religion or most are christians. Those who convert to Islam(5%) did so because they want to. This despite the fact that of all the black people in Africa, we in Sudan are the first to encounter the Arabs. Sudan is the gateway to Arabia and it is because of our resistance since the 15th century that Islam did not spread into Southern Africa. We are the only resistance that is why they want to eliminate us.

Those brothers in West Africa gave up the fight when the Arabs came yielding sword and forcing people to convert, but we fought them. My Ancestors build the pyramids and our people used to live in what was Egypt, but through the years and mainy countless wars we were pusehd slowly Southwards and ended up in what is Southern Sudan.

Because the PLO is also assisting the Arab government in Sudan, for instance they unsuccesfully send several PLO commandos to assasinate our leaders residing in Kenya and Europe, several Southern Sudanese went to Washington last Tuesday during the Israeli rally to show their Solidarity with the Israelis. They were the center of attention since they were the only blacks in a sea of white people. The media was focused on them and two of them were interviewed by BET TV news that aired last Tuesday at 11: oo pm Tuesday night.

Again LDH you are off the mark, Islam sells it's faith to blacks on the basis of white vs black passions, this is why many African Americans become Muslim because the are lied to about Muhummad being an AFRICAN which is a lie! If you have some kind of data that refutes what the Ancient Historian said of Muhummad being white then let's see, other wise what you have to offer is just personal experience and opinion.

Fredhall, again look at the EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT about Muhummad, again many Eastern Muslim Europeans look as white as snow, there is no denying that, no passing as white but white as white can be. There is no data that says otherwise about Muhummad being Black. The point is Muhummad was not BLACK! As many of the Nation of Islam (the black Mulsims as they are called) will tell you. It's a blatant lie.

Many live in Eastern Europe today. Lets not forget the recent war between the Muslims and Serberain Christians. Those Muslims all looked white to me in that part of the world and I'm sure many have the name Muhammad.

i am not speaking of 'secret' in the sense that no one knows this, but in the sense of the phrase 'open secret' where no one wants to talk about something that is known and true, but makes people uncomfortable.

kind of like the 'crazy aunt' that lived in a room in the finished attic.

everyone knew she was there, but no one wanted to talk about her being there.. well, the open secret about race relations in the usa, is that all of us working class folks have been used against each other by the elite from the earliest history of this country.

Thanks SYN and Gopher, it's the truth though, note how important immigration is in the USA. Cheap labor is an important component in the American economy. As races progress economically they do not take those jobs that once was desirable to work.

Leander what you say is true:

But the liberal controlled media and liberal controlled universities are much responsible for anti-semitic sentiments. The Media is not really interested in the truth but to keep fanning the flames of hate so they will have good stories but those tactics are biting them in the butt because now News Networks such as Fox News and now MSNBC are telling BOTH sides and the truth stands out because the facts are there and MOST people are not stupid. Allen Keys making sense is doing well in it's time slot because he invites radicals\leftist\liberals on his show and expose the truth. Often they have little to say to refute what he says because he uses facts not slogans to back up his points.

CNN and all the other more liberal networks are getting kick in the Ass rating wise by Fox News and took nearly half of CNN's watchers because the ring of truth is not there and their reporters show liberal leanings. When people compare, it becomes obvious they have not reporting all sides of many stories.

Now CNN is looking for a liberal to host similar shows like Bill O'reallys "the factor" and Allen Keys making sense" but no success to this point. I tell you they will never be successful if they do not embrace TRUTH!

Iqbal Rahman is only commenting on what ancient historians said of Muhammud's looks or race. The following are not Iqbal Rahman words but an eye-witness account.

"In Sahih Al Bukhary vol. 1 no. 63, we read "while we were sitting with the Prophet, a man came and said, 'who amongst you is Mohammed?' We replied, 'this white man reclining on his arm..."

Many Arabs can look very pale with blue\green eyes. The point is Muhammud is sold to black people as a black man which is a blatant lie.

I'm also sure that Asain-Arab can look very white. Asian does not have to mean a person have to look like a chinese.

The color of one's skin has suddenly become relevant to religion. Muslim activists have been trying to convince African American citizens that Islam is the religion of the Black man, that Islam is African and that Mohammed was Black. Needless to say, Muslims only make these claims to Blacks; among Whites they take a different approach!

Knowing that these are well thought-out falsifications, intended only to draw Blacks towards Islam, I felt compelled to set the facts straight. Nothing in this article is meant to lend approval to this racial approach. If we are to accept or reject Islam, it should be based on Islam's own merits, rather than color or origin.

Africa was not the Cradle of Islam

Islam was born in the 7th century, in the Arabian Peninsula, which is part of the continent of Asia. Yellow Asia and Black Africa are separated by the Red Sea. Here, we are talking about two different continents and two different peoples.

Islam went to Africa relatively recently, and is not the predominant religion there. African Americans were most likely either Christians or Animists at the time they were brought to America.

Christianity has been present in Africa since the first half of the first century. St. Mark, the writer of the Gospel of Mark was a North African Jew who preached the Gospel to Egypt. From there, Christianity spread all over North Africa, and to the south of Egypt's borders. The Eastern church raised to the level of sainthood many Africans, St. Moses the Black from Egypt and St. Tekla Himanote the Ethiopian and others.

One of the teachers and prophets in the early church, Simeon, was an African from N1ger in west Africa (Acts 13:1)

Eastern Africa was converted to Christianity through the ministry of a cabinet member of Queen Candace of Ethiopia who was baptized by St. Philip, one of the seven deacons in the early church (Acts 8:26 - 40).

Mohammed was not a Black Man

Mohammed was an Asian-Arab. You can't confuse an Asian-Arab with a Black- African. There are numerous evidences that Mohammed was actually white. The space limitation will allow us to mention only a few:

In Sahih Al Bukhary vol. 1 no. 63, we read "while we were sitting with the Prophet, a man came and said, 'who amongst you is Mohammed?' We replied, 'this white man reclining on his arm..."

In volume 2 Hadith no. 122 refers to Mohammed as a "white person" and in vol. 2 Hadith no. 141 we are told that when Mohammed raised his arms, "the whiteness of his armpits became visible."

Mohammed Owned Black Slaves

Mohammed owned several black slaves. Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya relies heavily on the prophet's biographies written by great ancient scholars. Therefore, he is regarded by Muslims as an authority, a primary source and a leader among the students of Islamic religion. This scholar tells us in his book, "Zad al-Ma'ad" (part 1, pp. 114-116), the following:

"These are the names of Muhammad's male slaves: Yakan Abu Sharh, Aflah, 'Ubayd, Dhakwan, Tahman, Mirwan, Hunayn, Sanad, Fadala Yamamin, Anjasha al-Hadi, Mad'am, Karkara, Abu Rafi', Thawban, Ab Kabsha, Salih, Rabah, Yara Nubyan, Fadila, Waqid, Mabur, Abu Waqid, Kasam, Abu' Ayb, Abu Muwayhiba, Zayd Ibn Haritha, and also a black slave called Mahran."

Even in modern times, in Saudi Arabia the homeland of Islam, the common word for "Black" is "Abd" meaning slave.

What was Mohammed's position on freeing the slaves?

In one instance , a man freed a slave that he kept as a sexual partner. When Mohammed heard what happened, he auctioned the boy and sold him for 800 derhams to Na-eem Ebn Abdullah Al- Nahham. (Sahih Moslem vol. 7, page 83)

According to Mohammed, the punishment for committing adultery is different between a free man, a free woman and a slave-woman. The man is to be flogged one-hundred stripes and be exiled for one year. The free woman must be stoned to death. But the slave-woman (since she has a monetary value) will not be exiled or killed, she is to be flogged one-hundred stripes. If the violation is repeated, the slave-woman is to be sold.(Sahih Al Bukhary vol. 8:821 & 822)

Islam Looked Down on Blacks

Islam is a religion, whose sacred Scriptures contain explicit denigrating remarks about Black people.

Mohammed referred to Blacks as "raisin heads". (Sahih Al Bukhary vol. 1, no. 662 and vol. 9, no. 256).

In another Hadith, Mohammed is quoted as saying that Blacks are, "pug-nosed slaves". (Sahih Moslem vol. 9 pages 46 and 47).

Islam is not the Haven of Freedom and Equality

Even if we wrongly assume that Islam started in Africa and that its Prophet was a black man, this still wouldn't in itself be a good reason for Blacks to adopt Islam. Nor would it be a good reason for Whites to adopt Islam just because Mohammed was white. We have to look at Islam itself.

I wouldn't want to be a Muslim because Islam is anti freedom, which is one issue so close to the hearts and minds of African Americans, considering the inequities they have suffered in their past.

One thing Islam does not believe in is freedom of religion. If Islam takes over America there wouldn't be a choice of religion. The Quran states: "If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost".(Surah 3:85)

Many of the teachings of Islam are incompatible with progress. Neither are they compatible with human rights, civil rights or constitutional rights.

Here are a few examples of the teachings of Islam:

Men are superior to women. (Surah 2:22
Women have half the rights of men:
In court witness. (Surah 2:282)
In inheritance. (Surah 4:11)
A man may beat his wife. (Surah 4:34)
A man may marry up to four wives at the same time (Surah 4:3)
Muslims must fight until their opponents submit to Islam. (Surah 9:29)
A Muslim must not take a Jew or a Christian for a friend.(Surah 5:51)
A Muslim apostate must be killed.(Surah 9:12)
Stealing is punished by the amputation of the hands. (Surah 5:3
Adultery is punished by public flogging. (Surah 24:2)
No separation between Church and State. (Surah 2:193)
No opposition party allowed. (Surah 4:59)

My fellow African-American:

Muslims don't care for your skin color, they are only using that to gain control over you. For if Muslims really care for Africans, why are African Muslims kidnapping their African Christian brothers these days in Sudan, butchering the weak and selling the healthy as slaves?

Well, the open secret about race relations in the USA, is that all of us working class folks have been used against each other by the elite from the earliest history of this country. When Anglo/Scot workers in Northern factories got uppity and wanted better working conditions, the factory owners would bring in the Irish to replace them. When the Irish started getting uppity about 20 years later after the Civil War, the factory owners started bringing in the white trash from the South, and when we were too much trouble they started bringing in blacks in the early half of the 1900's.

Now blacks are getting uppity and are being replaced by immigrants, legal and illegal, and others who can claim 'minority status' one way or another. Hispanics are taking the jobs that lower class blacks and whites would take to work up into the middle class. Asians are going into the black community and establishing stores. Minority set asides are going to white businesses where the former male owner 'sold' the business to his wife, etc.

The continuing theme to all of this is that working class wages keep getting undercut by new additions to the labor force pool, at the expense of those who just got in one generation before. So really, the elite in our country are not rracists, they would exploit anyone of any race. What is interesting about it all is how they keep doing the same thing and no one seems to ever learn their game and take a winning strategy against it.

Here is another little 'open secret'; each community is given a designated elite that the white elite work through in order to control that community. This intermediary elite would be given leadership positions, treated by the elite with respect, and allowed to accumulate wealth at a personal level. But it was all contingent on that intermediary remaining in his place and loyal to the elite. This was long done on an ethnic basis, and now is being done on an inter-racial basis too. In the white community, the churches, and the fraternity/lodge system was created to provide an intermediary between the elite and unwashed working class of the group in question. The same churches and fraternities exist in the black community as are in the white community, and they all serve the interests of the elite, with a few exceptions. Most of the black elite are of mixed race, and the whites they tended to be mixed with was the white elite. So the house slaves were seperated from the field slaves because the white elite were simply showing preference to those who partly shared their blood. Is it any different today? Is this partly why the white elite would rather deal with Jesse Jackson than Roy Innis? Why they dont mind Thurgood Marshall on the SCOTUS, but despise Clarence Thomas?

So what? Well, it just amazes me when I see working class blacks blame working class whites for all their problems when they should be looking a little closer to home. The typical working white guy has done zero to keep blacks down, and in fact, wants the system to be fair to blacks, because when you guys start getting robbed in some new fashion, we know we need to start keeping our heads up too.

But in whose interest does it serve for blacks and white workers to blame each other for what they see as the problems in their communities? Who benefits from our being divided against each other on the basis of race? I think we all know.

When we start thinking rationally and try to have and use the real economic facts instead of centuries old mythology and pie-in-the-sky windfall lawsuits, then maybe one day things can improve for all of us whose ancestors broke the soil in 19th century America.

Till then we are just being useful idiots to the American elite, which is just a branch off of the European elite. And speaking as a descendant of European lower class folks, that is not a good thing for any working whites or blacks, I promise.

society cutting costs?!

i was wondering if you noticed the society cutting costs.. for example : the books are now printed on cheaper paper and have a soft cover.

also subscriptions are no longer mailed by post but will be brought to you by publishers (cutting cost and upping field service!

to flies in one!).

What!!! personal delivery!! We will not be re-newing our subcription, I don't want them dropping by my house. I think it's a good move from a WTS standpoint because it gives JW's another reason for field service and makes contact with those who are inactive. It may work in their favor to a point.

But people like me don't want JW visits period not evenn from long time JW friends because I don't want to hear it the some old Borg crap, "come back to Jehovah, we miss you, the end is getting closer, blah, blah, blah".

Thanks for sharing and if it's true then we will stop our subscription.

Mother, wife, myself, DA'ing ourselves

well, i've finally had it.

i'm da'ing myself, along with a piece of my fam.

the unbaptised ones are refusing to go with my father now, and even my still devout father is leaning towards our opinion on things.. there wasn't even any screaming when i called the jw's the great hypocrisy last nite.. i just can allow myself to be associated with them in any way.

ashitaka, your post expressed how I felt back in 1996 when I faded away. I absolutely have no regrets but I'm still a little angry at myself for being duped by the WBTS, 18 years wasted on bullshiyt!!!

Anyway, your posts was heartwarming because you represent many who have the same exact sentitments and are getting out and moving on with the real world. That is the important thing you are getting out while you are young and have much life ahead of you.
