The SP "Artisan"...
i can't/won't pin myself down to just one type (in true 'SP' fashion...keep.options.open)
so here's what my temperament says (formatting mine):

ARTISAN SPs, being CONCRETE in communicating and UTILITARIAN in implementing goals, can become highly skilled in TACTICAL VARIATION. Thus their most practiced and developed intelligent operations are usually promoting and operating (SPT expediting), or displaying and composing (SPF improvizing). And they would if they could be virtuosos of one of these forms artistic operation. Artisans are proud of themselves in the degree they are graceful in action, respect themselves in the degree they are daring, and feel confident of themselves in the degree they are adaptable. This is the "Sensation Seeking Personality" -- trusting in spontaniety and hungering for impact on others. They are usually hedonic about the present, optimistic about the future, cynical about the past, and their preferred time and place is the here and now. Educationally they go for arts and crafts, avocationally for techniques, and vocationally for operations work. They tend to be permissive as parents, playmates as spouses, and play oriented as children. There are many Artisans to be found in many places where the action is, at least 35% and as many as 40% of the population.

INTPs are a really neat personality from this test. Every INTP i've met is Amazingly Imaginitive. VERY sensitive too. As introverts they can appear so quiet on the outside and you would never know unless on the off chance it came up in conversation, but they have a brilliantly wild and creative imagination. it's great when they also draw cuz then we can get a glimpse of what goes on in their minds.

I had an amazing best bud for many years that wuz an INFP. NFs are generally quite romantic. RU romantic lizard? hEEhEE

ESTJ is a highly responsible personality great for organizing. this is so neat to read a bit aboutchall.

hey xan, try taking the test anuther day in a dif mood? or maybe read some o' the other profiles?
when you hit on the one that's sposedta be closest to yours its sposedta be obvious and really "speak" to ya. i think it'd be neat to read one that you think matches you.

My Mother Might Get Called B4 a JC!!!

my mother just called me...she is really upset.

her plumber, brother c. came by to fix a pipe today and told her that the elders are discussing my mother!!

because she is going to have my dfd sister visit this week.

I've noticed the same inconsistencies on this topic in the borg over the past several years.

Just reaks of politics. They base their decisions on whether or not to hold a JC for contact with DF'd/DA'd ones on "who" you are and who knows and who it pisses off. They apply different standards across the board.

I would be very surprised if your mother got df'd for this. It is none of their business if she has contact with her flesh & blood daughter. They don't know the circumstances. She can simply say that...
"Brothers, you don't know the circumstances, this is between me and Jah, but thank you for your concern."

If they press her, she can state there is official business, family or otherwise, confidential in nature. Or she can quote from the WT itself, i'm sure there was an article re not allowing a DF'd or DA'd one to go destitute or helping them in an emergency situation.

She could also state something about knowing many families, elders and pioneers and publishers alike that have contact with their DF'd DA'd family members...and if they are going to meddle into her circumstances and choices then she will also be giving them the names of various others that will need to be handled in like fashion by facing a JC.

It is very much a "grey area" especially where family is concerned. The articles that do exist on this topic can be read so differently they totally contradict themselves all over the place.

Hang in there thru this stupidity.

just a question that occurred to me.

how often do you post here?.

let me tell you about my posting habits to get the ball rolling.. i never post during the morning (equivalant to midnight-3am in america), purely because i a) have to get to work, busy busy, and b) i am not terribly lucid before my 3rd cup of coffee .

one of my favorite people ever was an INTJ. Very intelligent. Brilliant minds those NT have.
Very good at thinking on their own rather than being a "follower".
Very full of plans and ideas of sooooo many things they wish to learn.
So did you find that the description of the iNTj really fit you?

Hey Lizard,

Very kewl.

Myers-Briggs is my fave personality test too. Altho I prefer the off-shoot from this test, in a book called "Please Understand Me" by Keirsey-Bates. If yah wanna slap a label on someone, the descriptions in this book are amazingly accurate. Also, some great info re: personality profile on the job, as well as in relationships and even schtuff about kids.

It's based on varying degrees or "preferences" in the following categories (some of which are misnomers):

Introvert/Extrovert
Sensing/iNtuitive
Thinking/Feeling
Judging/Perceiving

As a dub I forced my personality to live by the ESTJ mold.

Now as i let myself just be me, i am more of an SP, i think ISTP....(very different from ESTJ btw)
and I often attract (in friendship or otherwise) to my "opposite" the amazing wonderful ENFJ types.

It's been really neat to watch myself "balance out" and change in various sections over the years.

it can be challenging and controversial to try and squish people into just 4 'temperaments' and 16 'types' however, this jung theory of profiling has been instrumental and practical in helping me understand, appreciate and better communicate with the wide variety of ~~weirdos~~, errr, people i'm stuck sharing this planet with.

Wow SYN, sounds like you have it down to an exact science! heehee.

My posting habits are quite a bit more sporadic than all that.

If there's time i peruse the site during the day on break and/or lunch, posting as i go. If too busy, i will try to come early or stay a little late after work once or twice a week to catch up a bit on reading and replies, or my own threads.

There's no real rhyme or reason for which days i hang out on here, mainly depends on my mood and how busy with other schtuff.

It's probably a good thing i don't have a 'puter @ home yet, cuz if i did you people wouldn't be able to get rid o' me and i'd rarely see daylight! This place is addictive and yes, user-friendly!!
