the reason i bring this up is because 3 different people i know (not xjws) are all into this "stuff" now.

I am always leary of publications like those...whether they are JW or not. Have not read them, have no intention of reading them. Those books remind me of a movie I watched once - I can't remember the name but it was about the rapture. This kid doesn't take Jesus into their heart and then everyone starts disappearing. LOL....It reminded me of a very badly written wannabe horror flick. (BTW--it was non JW friends of mine that had me watching it). SInce that movie I was pretty much thoroughly disgusted with all christianity.

Sunshine - Ironically I have never been to Atlanta. I was born in GA and moved to FL in 1987.
I am looking for any one that may have been in that area in that time frame. The families that I remember are the Allen clan, the Hobbies, and the McLaughlins. I am sure there are more but none that I can think of at the top of my head.

But using your reasoning, I would not trust my sweet mama, myself, my papa or anybody else to provide good guidance.

Guess what I don't trust anybody...I'm about as paranoid as they come. After all when your parents, religion, and everybody else lets you down why should you trust them or even yourself for initially trusting them.
As for the good guidance Im sooo glad that the governing body gave my father permission to beat me...Oh what Christian love and guidance that is!

But all humans are inclined toward evil because of Adam and Eve. Therefore I do not trust this world and the bad advice that worldly counselors often give. It is simply wrong to believe that we just have to accept people as they are, warts and all, when it comes to morals.

With that statement conforter I have a question for you.....
If ALL humans are inclined toward evil then wouldn't the ALL part include any founders/members of the Jehovah Witnesses as well? And since obviously they are included (unless they aren't human...lol) how can you TRUST them to tell you what you should do or believe in?
Please answer if you can!

a teacher asks her class to use the word contagious.. james, the class swot, gets up and says, "last year i got the measles and my mum said it was contagious".. "well done james" says the teacher, "can anyone else try"?.

katie, a sweet little girl with pigtails says "my grandma says there's a bug going around, and its contagious".

"well done, katie" says the teacher.
